Simply the best, what a wonderful local gem of a store. Having a refill store with clean organic products at great prices is just what is needed in this world of convince and instant gratification. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend checking them out.

I am so grateful to have such a great refill shop so close to home! I love being able to pick up everything from cleaning supplies to chocolate chips in one trip. The quality of their products is fantastic. The community jar station is helpful for those times when I forget my containers. They’ve thought of nearly everything and yet they also don’t rest on their laurels; every time I visit, they’ve made some kind of enhancement to their already wonderful services or added a great new product. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love being able to shop at a store that not only provides a pleasant experience but also aligns with my values.

What a wonderful store! It’s filled with bulk items, soaps and lotions to get refilled. I was able to refill my dish soap, deodorant and body wash as well as grab a few ps try staples. The process is easy and quick and the store is spotless.

Love this little shop... so clean and full of wonderful products. The conditioning bar is a favorite! The staff is so helpful and sweet. I love supporting local shops and doing what we can to save the environment ❤️ Definitely shop here!

Love being able to reduce my plastic waste, provide healthier and safer products to my family. Simple Bare Necessities provides a lot of our every day use products at a cost effective price. Love visiting this little store in Sparta. All the employees are wonderful and friendly. I usually spend more time chatting than I do shopping.

Why are there not more shops like Simple Bare Necessities? I can refill my spices, dry goods, beans, grains, coffee, detergents, lotions, and personal hygiene needs. Enjoy the expansion!

They raise customer service to a whole new level! I was in a rush to get to an appointment and ready to run out without everything I came for. She offered to finish filling my jars for me and had everything ready to ring up when I returned. That was so nice! Beautiful, unique items along with practical, sustainable necessities. I love this place!

Simple Bare Necessities is a TRUE gem, and one of my new all-time favorite spots. I moved to the area in November, and Michaela (the owner of SBN) has created such a positive, community-focused environment that makes me so excited to come back every week (I am ALWAYS thinking of reasons I need to go back!!) I am so passionate about living sustainably, and SBN makes it so easy and fun - I am SO glad SBN exists and that it is making shopping sustainably affordable and accessible to the communities of northern Jersey. Plus, SBN has the cutest sustainable swaps (the retro tissue boxes make me smile), and I feel like I'm having fun shopping there, even though it's for basic (or should I say Bare!??) necessities :) 110% can't recommend SBN enough - we need more shop owners like Michaela in this world.

Lovely little store. Has so many essentials. I get my olive oil, oats, cleaning and bath products here. Employees and owner always super helpful. Bring your own containers or they have a supply people donate. We go once a month to stock up. Feel so good to shop here.

This is a lovely little shop. They have a great selection of items for your pantry, household (laundry, cleaning, etc.) and personal care. The staff is friendly and helpful and the products are clearly selected with care and attention (organic pantry items, clean and chemical-free household and personal care products). Love the scents for dish soap, hand soap, body wash, detergent, etc. It’s a pleasure to shop here. Simple Bare Necessities has made it easy and fun to reduce waste in my house and I’m always finding new ideas when I go to do my regular refills.
