It was 21 degrees and I was visiting friends in Sparta. My tire pressure light went on and Bill at Blessings checked and filled each tire with air. So nice to have a genuinely nice guy help a wayward traveler.

I'm recently returned to Sparta and Mr. Blessing has been a trusted and gifted mechanic here for years. The only place I would feel comfortable sending my Mom with her car.

Great customer service!!! My tire was low and since I have no idea what I'm doing I asked bill if he could put the air in for me and he said sure. After putting in the air he said oh here's the problem,A nail was in the tire.He fixed it for me and I was on my way within 20 minutes. I get my gas here all the time and they are always friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!!!!!!

Everything that the poor woman said in the other 1 star review is true. Bill Blessing in Lake Mohawk, of Sparta Township, uses predatory tactics to seize cars and he is in collusion with the Sparta Police to do it. I reside in Lake Mohawk and everyone out here knows that he is dishonest and, moreover, a terrible mechanic. I had the misfortune of meeting him when the Sparta Police sent him my car some years ago after I cracked it up. I had a careless driving charges from the accident and lost my license for 4 months. Blessing could not give me the car back w/o a license and wanted, instead, to charge me $100 daily fee for 4 months until I got my license back and could retrieve the car. That would've come to $12,000. Since the car was worth less than $12,000 after the accident, I told him to keep it. Ok, so I am a crappy driver and a couple of years later got into another accident and the Sparta Police, once again, called Blessing to tow. Now, I specifically told them NOT to call this guy and to let me use my own tow guy. But they said that for an accident the police must call the tow company. This is not true. Rather, they and Bill Blessing are in cahoots, just as the woman said in her review here. But wait, it gets even worse. When I went to pick up my new, $40,000 car he said he was keeping it until I gave him the $ for the old car. I was appalled! This guy was literally keeping all my cars (and I am using the term "literally" correctly). It was if Sparta Police went around collecting cars to give give to Bill Blesson as gifts. "Oh here, take this lady's car. It's on me!" I had to hire a lawyer and threaten him with charges of unlawful seizure to finally get him to release it. And even when he did release it, he had stolen my ipod, and g.p.s to sell them on e-bay. He flat out TOLD me he was selling my stuff on e-bay to get $ from the other car! He said I owed him when, in fact, I had GIVEN the damn car to him.

Absolute worst! I ONLY GAVE YOU 1 STAR BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T LET ME PICK 0. WHICH IS WHAT YOU DESERVE. While visiting NJ. I stopped in a small town. LAKE MOHAWK . Having never been to this little town decided to stop for a quick bit. Unaware I had parked in a spot that was not a parking spot. Which happened to look like any other spot. Notice the sign is a 2 hr parking. I am there with my two babies by myself. Not more than an hour am approached by a stranger only to find out that my car was being towed. Having no choice but to leave my children with someone as I could not run carrying both of them. I ran as quickly as I could to my car to find it already up on the truck. I approach the Police Officer pleading that I was alone with my babies, from out of town and unaware of the mistake that was made begged please not to take my car. The deceitful Police officer then tells me yea I see you are from out of town and was told to talk it over with the tow driver. Leading me to believe that doing so would allow me to get my car back. Now pleading with the tow driver explaining the situation to him he then tells me to talk to the police officer making me believe that talking back to the officer would allow me to get my car back. While talking again to the police officer the tow driver proceeds to complete loading and drives off with my car. These men should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Taking a car from a mother that is alone with her two babies over a simple mistake. NJ police officers are probably the most corrupt people I have met. And this tow driver possibly one of the most deceitful people I have ever met in my life. ALL YOU ARE OUT FOR IS MONEY. no compassion. As long as you got your money in your pocket. You don't know what you took from me and my children at that moment. Let me tell you, you didn't do me any favors by only charging me 75.00. You took money for a week's worth of food for my children and myself. I have no job. And the officer who also was deceitful you took all the trust in any cop I ever had and flushed that down the toilet. My children were scared and crying when I finally was able to get to them. Asking me mommy why are you crying and why would that Police officer lie to you. Mommy why did that mean man take our car. EXPLAIN TO MY CHILDREN WHY YOU TOOK A WEEKS WORTH OF FOOD FROM THEIR MOUTHS. 75.00 may be nothing to you. But to an unemployed mother of two 75.00 is alot. ALOT. I don't know how you sleep a night you are a crook! You are probably the worst person I have ever met. I could understand if I was local and knew that what I had done was wrong and done it anyway. But this was an honest mistake. And now I can't feed my children. I am not rich. I am unemployed. My car was a gift. Not something I was able to have afforded on my own. So you may see that car and say well obviously she has some money. NO!!!! I Do not. It was left to me by my deceased parents. So thanks. Thank you so much. I will never forget what you put me and my children through tonight.
