I used to love coming to the ShopRite. When it opened, it was the most convenient grocery store with great quality products however, that aside the new store manager or the old store manager, I'm not sure I must be a self-loathing Hispanic, because all I have seen him do is disparage other Hispanics that are shopping there and accuse them of being thieves. I on a monthly basis probably spend anywhere between $2000 on groceries for my family of six and small trips just for snacks that we would accomplish throughout the month that we're not even equated to our grocery spending will no longer be done at the store I would rather drive all the way to Bound Brook , then have to patron the store solely because the store manager is rude, sloppy disgusting and impolite .

They generally have a good inventory of the items on the weekly flyer. The self check out runs pretty smoothly.

For this grocery store to be so large it was a disappointment. Not impressed with their frozen food section, juice selection, vegetable section and pastry area. Far too many "meat alternative choices" and not enough meat choices. Far too much orange juice here and not enough other juices. The broccoli I brought home from here had a thick layer of mud on it as if they didn't even wash it after picking it from the fields. Pastries are lack luster. Publix, HEB, Giant, Harris Teeter and Market Street offer way better grocery selections at cheaper prices. Also, the lack of cart returns in the parking lot is why there are shopping carts everywhere. Parking lot is too large just to have the returns only at the front. The cashiers here are very rude as well. When I checking out the cashier didn't mention that her station wasn't working and watched me as I loaded all of my groceries on the belt to be scanned. After I finished she then informed me that her machine wasn't working and I needed to place them back in my cart and move to another check out. She was yelling at another cashier complaining that she didn't get her lunch break. Super rude and didn't expect that from an older person.

The best time to visit this Shoprite is legit before 7 AM or else it gets super packed. The parking lot is always filled and the products get easily out of stock. The workers here are alright, you'll get some who's like whatever and others reallly super frickin nice. But th only downside is that a lot of the prices and signs are super misleading. They will put products in front of signs that are not for that product. A lot of the wordings are misleading. For example, i'm the vitamin cart up front, it says limit 1 item for that special price. If i buy biotin and Vitamin C pills for example, i would expect to get each one of those at a special price. But it's actually only 1 item out of everything that's at a special price lol. I usually double check my receipt before leaving, can't ever trust these advertisements here.

Amazing shop ! We love the cakes here . Especially tiramisu.. very good place for all other general items too. Very quick service .. lots of parking available.

I really enjpy this Shoprote. I come here for their produce and flowers. The flower section rotates weekly so you can always refresh the look of your home. The prices are very affordable and the quality is great. I deducted a point because the external needs a face-lift. You would never know how modern it is inside just by the exterior facade.

Avoid the bakery department... Everything, and I say EVERYTHING is stale lately. 3wks ago, bought a $17 "fancy" cake...inedible. 2wks ago, bought regular donuts...inedible. This week, bought paczkis, which I thought I couldn't go wrong with because it was date stamped 2/15...hard as a rock. So disappointing.

I'm a regular shopper at Shoprite in South Plainfield. I usually love this supermarket, especially the wide variety of prepared meals. However, this week I was very disappointed by the smoked salmon that I purchased which was NOT so fresh. In fact, by the texture and flavor it tasted like it was past the expiration date in spite of what the label indicated; by the date on the package it should have been fresh for another 5 days. Dumping the salmon feels like such waste especially since it's an expensive product at $30/lb. I'm very disappointed that I have to throw it out. Up until now, I would have given this place 5 stars. Hopefully this incident was an exception and won't happen again.

Don't shop here often. Was here before 9am, long lines, few cashiers. Went to bakery, bought a banana cream pie. Was disappointed, see photo, all whipped cream, no bananas or pudding. Someone had an "off " day I guess....It was $8, Stop Shop pie is much better.

This place is always packed and the self checkout line or 12 or less always backed up. I have never been in and out of this place. I prefer my Clark ShopRite, as busy as it gets there I can be in and out in 5 mins if using the self checkout. Also the parking lot here is always full regardless what time you go. Aside from that the inside is spacious and they had a good variety. Just not my favorite due to delays. Many times I left the product and walked out, I can only imagine what happens during the holidays
