“The service at Auto Wurks Diesel is exceptional. I had transmission problems in PA and did lots of research on good shops around the area. I was in the process of taking my truck to the shop and actually broke down on the way. After contacting the shop to let them know, they gave me the number of a trusted tow service. Once the truck was there at the shop I got updates on the progress and was very impressed with the in-depth knowledge of their work. Anything that they came across while repairing the transmission that also needed attention was relayed to me for approval to fix as well. A rear main seal leaking and a transfer case seal. The new transmission performed flawlessly on our return trip home of almost 1,300 miles. I would recommend anyone in the general area with transmission problems or upgrades in general to use Auto Wurks Diesel after experiencing their customer service and knowledge of their profession.”

“Unfortunately my transfer case broke one night on my way home from work in mid September 2021. I had AAA tow it to a local shop. That guy didn’t have the capability to fix it so he sent it to a well known franchise transmission shop who’s initials are LM. Well LM gave me a quote of $3000 to fix the broken transfer case with a 30 day guarantee! Me not knowing much about cars knew that was a very bad deal. I then reached out to my cousin who works at a Chevrolet dealership (I have a Chevy) to see if I could purchase the part from him. I could but with the supply chain issue, the part wouldn’t be available until mid November (a 2 month wait). I relayed this message to LM and he told me I had to have my car towed back to my house until the part came in. Problem with that is I don’t have driveway parking and wouldn’t be able to move the car if needed (such as for the never ending street repairs or snow). I asked him to give me a day to figure out what I could do. The next day I got very busy and didn’t get to figure something out. Late afternoon, LM called and said he had put my car on the street and in Union where he is located, there is no overnight parking so the car will be impounded. I googled “Transmission Shops” and found Dr. Marv’s. He had great reviews so I called him. I explained about the 2 month wait for the part and asked if he would be able to store my car. They said yes and couldn’t have been nicer! So I had the car towed to Dr. Marv’s! More supply chain issues and my part didn’t come in until the end of January 2022. I kept Dr. Marv’s informed of this. As soon as the part was received by them, my car was fixed a day later! Not only did they do a terrific job but between the cost of the new part and the installation by Dr. Marv’s, my cost was far less than the $3000 quote from the other transmission shop! After I moved this summer(2023) to Plainfield, inquiries at service stations and auto parts stores led me to Sal's Fanwood Auto Transmissions. Three leaks, one requiring dropping the transmission to replace a seal, were cured. All repairs were within estimates that were well below others offered "back down south."
