I saw Ladies of Laughter and the show was great. However, the sound system was MUCH too loud! There was rock music blaring waiting for the show, and at the intermission. I had to wear ear plugs throughout. even the sound system for the performers was loud.

Disappointed. There was obviously no AV tech on scene to adjust the microphone as needed. Some comedians held the microphone to their lips. They were too loud and distorted, making their sets hard to hear.
In addition, as there about 16 performers plus the MC, and the vsst majority tried to be humorous about their marriages, their children, dating or their mothers/mother-in-laws, they were repetitive; i.e. boring.
One comedian tried to do a George Carlin type of routine, but felt flat on her face.
The facility is a nice venue, but I’m sorry, I was hoping for belly laughs, and I didn’t have any.

I love this theater it was my first time here. I never knew it even existed. Great theater to get away from the big bangers.

SOMA backStage Reading Series - New Musical: She Reached For Heaven the actors were great. The play was very good, albeit I would recommend that the beginning be tighten as it was a little slow. The ending also needs a little work.
It was great to be able to attend a work in progress.

Always have a great experience at SOPAC. The entertainment is top notch. The staff is always helpful & welcoming and the convenience can't be beat! Huge parking lot & lots of dining options steps away for pre or post-show drinks/dinner.
