Easily the worst banking experience of my lifetime. The bank accepted my paperwork (POA) for deposit of a large some of money and refused to allow me to use the same to make a small withdrawal for my ill Mom.I had been making deposits for a few years because I was utilizing pnc as a savings bank and they are not really in the city. Each and every time I had Mom with me who suffers from Alzheimer's.I had an emergency and needed 10k, a small portion of what was on deposit, to pay a bill for Mom, the primary.I had never ever made a withdrawal and was now being told I could not make it.They cut off my access to my money and only said I could not make a withdrawal, when in fact they rendered the account completely no access and put a note on the account that I was being investigated for financial elder abuse.I had the banking commission deal with them & went right back to Citibank. They are not nice people and the New Jersey banking commission sided with me. How is it that you accept the deposit but refuse to honor the withdrawal request.BTW, I was told there was no way that that money was mine and they were right, it was my parent’s. Funny actually that as an African-American family it is routinely suspect to be wealthy.I have never entered this bank since, I even processed the full and total withdrawal at a different PNC.Apalling and highly upsetting.

❤️ this Bank! Very nice & helpful. In and out most days, no hassle. I would even say on a busy day, the service is still great!

I like the bank as a whole but the South Orange branch is unbelievably slow. Even when it's not really crowded. Now with only being able to use the drive-thru it's even worse. I'm doing this review while I wait in line. Have been here almost 30 minutes!!! The line is literally wrapped around the parking lot. Ridiculous!!!

Very slow and inefficient. You have to wait forever to get serviced even when they are not busy

never thought i would find myself writing a yelp review about a bank but this is a total unsatisfactory. Upon my entrance i was greeted promptly. I was instructed by a bank teller(yes you), who's name started with a C, to show various forms of identification to cash 3 small checks ranging from 9-24 dollars. I was instructed by my boss at the time to go cash some checks to pick up supplies for the store where i am employed...sounds easy, but... This issue arose once i seen that my valid drivers license was at home. Every form of id ranging from my student id from my social and other insurance cards were not accepted...fine...the transaction had to be no more than 50 dollars. To my understanding and knowledge of customer service, you should never ask why someone or how someone should obtain their monies. This teller made a joke asking if i "could just borrow some money" because of the about of money i as trying to cash, oblivious to my use of this 50 dollars. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . Naturally, I had an instant rebuttal because her other coworkers, (light skinned girl with hair in a bun) thought that it was the funniest thing in the world. Finally, i had my boss call the bank and i was seated for 30 mins so that the teller could get her manager. The manager or supervisor of the bank was half way polite because she got some info about me that was false. I was mistreated and then complained about for something that did not happen. poor service. and for the teller, im not a fan of putting people on blast but you are not supposed to be behind a window just because you can count money. you failed to ask me for my passport as another form of id, which i had on me and im going out of my way to make it difficult for you. will be making some calls to the branch. Maybe next time you will need to borrow some money because you will not have a job.
