“After being given the "bum's rush" out the door because greedy HSBC Bank was exiting all their retail banking services, I was forced to vacate my safe deposit box and close out all my accounts. I was left out in the cold worrying about where to secure all my valuable paperwork which included deeds, service discharge papers, and a who slew of documents which filled a rather large box. Chase stepped up to the plate and I was not only able to get a safe deposit box gratis but was also able to link all my Chase accounts dating back some 40+ years. I now no longer waste hours having to trek into Manhattan (ugh!) each time I need to access my safe deposit box but just walk a block for banking nirvana. No more putting up with HSBC attitude with difficult to understand accents but have overly generous perks which I had to pay for previously at greedy HSBC. This includes interest on all my Chase accounts including savings, but more importantly interest on my checking accounts. Checks are FREE, ATM fees are waived, but more importantly no more costly annual rental fees for safe deposit boxes. Retail banking is slowly going by way of the dinosaur and I pity those of very modest means being gouged by all these banks and this includes both friends and family. Sign of the times and expected to grow even worse. Finally many thanks to William Zhang, a very gifted Chase employee who made my transition from evil HSBC to Chase a bit less stressful. Now if only Chase will staff multiple teller windows (versus just the one...ugh!) and bring back notary services it will be epic and worth shouting from the rooftops.”

“I had a great experience at this location. It is recently renovated and quite spacious and clean. I was greeted with a smile when I entered the branch. I had an appointment already. I barely waited for a minute. Christopher Curry was very kind, courteous, and helpful with everything I needed to get done that day. He even offered me water. He also followed up via phone after the appointment to make sure everything worked out. The only con was that the air conditioning was not working and it was an especially hot day. I believe it has been fixed since.”

“I have to share the great experience I had tonight with Dharam Singh (Dave)! I came in to deposit a check using the ATM machine, but the check wouldn't process. Dave was willing to help me right away and was warm, kind and professional, even when I realized I had, absent-mindedly, left my debit card in the ATM causing it to get "eaten" by the machine. Dave was calm and collected and still eager to help me process my deposit and get me a new ATM card.
I have worked in customer service for years and I so appreciate when I receive such excellent and thorough service because it is such a rarity these days. All delivered with the utmost compassion by Mr Singh!
Did I mention he did all this with 15 minutes until the bank officially closed?? Never made me feel bad or rushed, I can tell he is truly a professional and he loves to help people. Because of my experience there tonight I would recommend this branch to anyone in the area.

“I have walked by the NYU FCU for years (it's in the building where my office is) and recently was trying to find a home equity line of credit and absolutely no banks seemed to offer this anymore, even though we own a house with equity in it. I took a chance and walked into the credit union one day and lo and behold, it was so easy to open an account & then to get a HELOC. Literally couldn't find it anyplace else. It is amazing for us to be able to pay off some debt accumulated mainly due to medical emergencies over the last two years. “If you don't like going to NJ, especially close to NYC (like me), you will not enjoy getting here. But once you're here, it's a fine place. Lot is a bit tight for maneuvering, but once they clear their own box trucks out for the day (around 7:30), it gets a little easier. No overnight parking (10pm-6am), wait on the street for a call after checking in. If you are waiting longer than you think you should be, the driver before you probably just took 45 minutes+ to dock. They unload pretty fast. Commerce Blvd is spacious if you need to break AFTER you unload. No local parking limitations during the daytime, it seems.”
