James had developed cancer so as I sat in the office as he did his treatments I started painting bird houses for the other people. I told the owner Tom about it he was so kind to donate samples of paint which helped me to get through treatments. Tom not only listen to me he also gave part of himself. Now we're losing him due to lack of business. Please stop by 118 West Main Street Somerville NJ and say hi to Tom. Tell him Mary Phillips-Blackshear is still sending up prayers ?.”

“I have to say the manager (excuse the spelling) Kaleel, saves this Home Depot location of a 1 star review. He is exceptional and from reading the other reviews it seems Home Depot needs to weed out people to have more employees like him..I had been searching for a new front door using the Home Depot ap and found the one I wanted. It said there were 2 in stock in south Plainfield so instead of buying on the ap I went directly to the store to look at the door in person. While looking for the door, I noticed a lot of their stock had dings and scratches all over them. Either way could not find the door I was looking for so asked one of the guys sitting in the door department. He searched high and low and could not find the door so told me he could place an order for it, they will search the entire store and pick the item for me and if not order another one for me. So I purchased it and went home. The next day I tried calling to see if the door was in and the phone just kept ringing. So I sent a text to the customer service chat in the Home Depot ap. That person ended up getting through to the store and she found out that they had cancelled my order. This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They never reached out to even say they cancelled it which is the messed up part. Kaleel was very nice and called around to other stores and tried to make the situation right. I was on the phone for awhile and he said that if he could get through to the other stores he would give me a call back. Which he did.”

Jessica helped us pick items that we loved and would help us stay in budget. She gave great advice too. She was responsive regarding any questions I had over email. She was efficient setting up delivery and it all went smoothly even though it snowed on the delivery day. Highly recommend working with Jessica at GPS.”

“This is my local Home Depot. Since purchasing a home a few years ago, I’ve probably come here dozens of times for various reasons. My most recent visit to get supplies for a new dishwasher install is prompting this review. There is a certain negative connotation with “Big box” stores and I’ve certainly had experiences here that would align with that. Today an employee helped me in the electrical department and the experience was exceptional. He took the time to ask about my project and steered me towards a better solution. I very much appreciate his expertise and professionalism. Sadly I didn’t catch his name, as he rushed off to help another customer. Whoever was working electrical on Saturday March 2nd - HD, you need more folks like him.”
