Too bad there's no zero stars. I called at 4:30 it said open till 5pm and no one answered. I have no idea where our work ethics have gone. I would never do that. You answer a phone at 4:30 if you are open till 5. I tried again at 4:44 and the same thing. Not even an outgoing message to let people know they are closed early.

South Amboy Post Office is a nice, moderately sized building. I found the window service to be very efficient and businesslike.

This facility is my first choice for a post office as it is not far from where I live. Though this post office can use an upgrade/ renovation, the older gentleman who works at the counter is super sweet and very helpful. He is more pleasant than the other female representative who works at the counter. Overall, the team at this post office is pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating. There are times I arrive at this post office at closing and they still service me, which is very appreciated.

The old man who at the window was just rude and kept whining and whining about my package and how I was doing. This was my first time shipping something out like this and he had no right to be rude. My anxiety was through the roof and it was already bad enough. Where do they get these employees from? He complained I had no tape and that his job had no tape. All he did was complain and I was only nice to him. I wanted to get out of there fast. Terrible place!

I mailed my priority mail with important information and a money order on 11/8/21 to be delivered to New York on11/12/21. I checked the tracking and it says my priority mail is still in transit and will be delayed. It is now 11/20/21 and my priority mail still has not been delivered it continue to say it is delayed and in transit and does not provide where in transit my mail is and it was last updated on 11/12/21. I went to the post office and the lady at the counter says "haven't you seen the news lately USPS is backed up on deliveries". She tells me my best option is to wait. I ask for how long and she doesn't give me a answer. SOUTH AMBOY IS THE WORST POST OFFICE IN NJ! I will never go back there I would advise you to drive to Sayreville's post office atleast your priority mail will get to its destination on time.
