The customer service is terrible at this store. I witnessed an elderly woman buying an item that rang up as full price when it should have been on sale. I pulled up the item on the app and it showed the sale price. I showed the cashier and she called for a manager.
The manager came over with an attitude saying the price it’s ringing up for is correct even after showing her the price on the app. She kept repeating that the app is wrong and wouldn’t help the woman at all. The woman was confused and the manager shushed her and told her she wasn’t going to argue with her and she couldn’t change the price.
I think some of the managers/employees at this store need to take some sort of customer service class because they have no idea how to interact with customers politely. This is not the first time I have experienced an employee being rude to customers.

Sameerah in floral at Shoprite in Somerset did an absolutely amazing job with my wedding flowers!! Such beautiful arrangements that we wish we could give more than 5 stars for. Anything floral, go to her!

Shop Rite continues to amaze me. Self checkout is a disaster. They do everything marketing wise at register and with digital coupons to confuse and over charge. Produce is not fresh or good in many cases.
No change today. Same issues. No change. and cashier we had was horrible. Ok.. I am updating my review of 2 years ago.. from 2 star to 1 star. The new rating is in regards to several items past the due dates. Packages of salami. 8 on the shelf and 5 had dates already passed in do not sell after... Sadly whomever stocks shelves placed the expired dates behind new ones.. Sour cream on sale all had dates within 1 or 2 days. You ask why did I come back after the review below. Stupidity gluten for punishment or the need for groceries. I am basically rating this ShopRite against other ShopRites which is where I usually shop living in Central Jersey. This could be their worst location. It started off in the meat section when I asked someone who was stocking the shelves a question and they had no idea what I was asking him about lamb chops. In the bread section I was looking for loaves of bread and there were packages which were damp and the dates to use were mixed. I didn't find much on the shopping spree so when I proceeded to the cashier she was lacking any intelligence. Her first question was she asked me if I found everything I was looking for. So I said no. So with that response you would think she would ask me a question what were you looking for however she looked at me dumbfounded.. she then proceeded to over package the yellow plastic bags which are weak to start.

Tried to order a cake here for a 2 year olds birthday next month. When we asked for a book we were told there was no book and we would have to bring in a picture of what we wanted. I have never been to a ShopRite like this. Even when you try to order online it tells you to see the store for additional designs. Ridiculous.

Don't put employees in the deli to serve you that don't understand English. He gave me 1 wrong item, he had to be told what I wanted by another worker, started cutting cold cut for women next to me instead of completing my order, couldn't understand what I was asking for the 3rd item of roast beef he wanted to give me corn beef. Everybody deserves a chance but he needs to be given a job not helping the public.

This ShopRite is in a senior citizen area. Today I went in and there is not one handicap cart working. I asked the manager and he confirmed with a statement “they aren’t working”. He did not apologize offer assistance or offer anything. I know for a fact 3 handicap carts have been sitting in check out aisle for at least 2 weeks. Once again this is a store is surrounded by senior housing. God bless those who can walk the store, I guess the rest of us will be shopping at bound Brook where they have 6 working handicap carts. Thank you for your concern and consideration!!!!
I tried going to that website and it doesn’t work. Seems to be a theme for this ShopRite. You have enough information and this review stands. No shopping here if your handicap. Like I said some of us would like walk the store but cant.

The deli at this location has completely gone downhill. The slicers look like they never clean them throughout the day and to top it off it took them an hour to get the order together and it was wrong. The bologna I asked sliced thin at 1/4lbs.. I got 4 thick slices. Seems like "please, thank you and sliced thin" are a thing of the past. The employees always look miserable, have an attitude, and they don't acknowledge a word you say. The lady was so nasty and rude. We will never buy from this deli again! Never had a problem until this new squad of employees were put there as participants.. Do your job or go home.
We will be going to Bound Brook from now on where the staff is the complete opposite from this place.

Poor supermarket. Extremely unfriendly staff. Teenage employees working at the self-checkout are always chatting with other staff, not assisting customers, and are unfriendly. Funny thing is, I've frequented the ShopRite in North Brunswick where the staff is very different from here in Somerset; they are more polite and pleasant.

After repeatedly having to write, "We are very concerned to hear about your visit," at what point does a store take action on this? The problems being reported are not a secret, are not isolated, and to not reflect unique events. I don't want a discount or a coupon or a refund. WE, as in your customers, WE want you to be better. That's all. Please stop copy/pasting "concern," and start improving. A quick cruise through recent reviews shows problems with the meat, problems with the produce, problems with check-out, and problems with customer service at check-out. We don't need to go into details here. This is more than enough to take a closer look and see if you can make improvements. Good luck. I mean that. I want you guys to succeed. I don't like having to drive all the way over to Stop & Shop.
