Outstanding lunch today at the Inn. We had one of our favorite waitresses Laura who always makes dinning more enjoyable and lighthearted. What makes Smithville Inn one of our favorite places is the consistent quality of food and service. It's full of charm and warmth. So many restaurants try to change things up, a mistake. We like to frequent a place we love that's exceptionally enjoyable.

We had a delicious lunch. Your pot pies are outstanding. Smithville Inn was so festivly decorated. From the hostess to our waitress, everyone was so professional, kind, and professional. We've eaten at the Inn many times and have never been disappointed.

Very mixed feelings on the Smithville Inn. Food was very good and plentiful, Nadia, our server, was very pleasant. However, several shortcomings. We brought a special bottle of wine from California and certainly expected to pay a corkage fee. Nadia did not know how much the fee was but she would check. She never gave us that amount and it turned out ot be $35, which we find excessive for this type of restaurant in a very rural area. There was a special "Restaurant Week" menu, but there were absolutely no substitutions despite my wife needing a gluten free choice. And towards the end of our meal Nadia just disappeared from the tables in her area, apparently taking care of a large group in a special room. We waited about 20 minutes before we received our bill. The restuarant manager made her obligatory visit to each table but we could tell it didn't matter what we said, none of our minor requests were going to be accepted. Not a friendly atmosphere from her at all. But, for a small town, this place is the best you are going to get.

Had a lovely evening at Smithville Inn. We're in town for a golf event and wanted a low key evening together. Were able to make a reservation at the Inn for dinner. When we arrived (we were earlier than our reservation time), we were able to be seated right away. The hostess was friendly and very attentive. The ambiance was very nice, a live piano player added to the atmosphere. (Wonderful job Lenny!) The volume was just perfect to allow for conversation while still enjoying Pop music covers and some light classics. Service from Laura was prompt and attentive. Cocktails were top notch, our appetizer (fried calamari) was delicious, perfect portion to share, lightly breaded and fried, incredibly tender! Entrees were very generously portioned! Blackened tuna cooked perfectly rare and the largest cut of prime rib, also perfectly cooked! (Prime rib only available Fri/sat/sun). The accompaniments were also delicious. The chocolate cake to round out the meal was a delightful finish, light and not overly sweet. Finally, all support staff, bussers, runners were friendly, well dressed and very prompt with service. Overall, a 10/10 evening. We can't wait to return! Thank you Smithville Inn.

This was our 3 year anniversary celebration dinner and what a wonderful day it already was, our waiter, Ryan, made it an amazing night! He was professional, pleasant, friendly, and more impressively, almost like family. He actually enjoyed celebrating with us and that meant the world to us! Highly recommend this restaurant and be sure to request Ryan! You can thank me later!

Great dining experience from drinks at the Barrymore to dinner with server Hanna in main dining room. The filet oscar was perfectly prepared and the flounder with crab was excellent. Highly recommend.

We had a nice meal celebrating my birthday. There were two weddings happening that night and you wouldn't have known when it came to service! We even got to watch a beautiful couple take their wedding photos as we dined.

My wife and I decided to venture out of our area and visit the Smithville Inn. We weren't disappointed! Excellent service and food. I had the pork chop and my wife had the crab cakes, both of which were very good! A nice dinner salad came with our meals, as well as the usual bread and rolls. We shared a dessert, which was large enough for both of us.

Oh my god I went there and they have this new thing called a specialty drink sampler. It was great. I got to sample three of the fall drinks that they have now. It was the best thing ever. Kudos to them

We were a party of 11, and our server Kiera (apologies if I got it wrong) was amazing!! She's the sweetest and the hostess was also super accommodating. Honestly, the best restaurant experience we've had! Thank you so so much!

Food has improved, but prices still a bit high. Ryan was our waiter and the service was impeccable. We always prefer tavern and the ambiance of the quaint room. Much improved overall since last year.

Food was excellent however when ordering our salad we were told we could have ceasar salad for a small “up charge”. When we received the bill the “up charge” ended up being $7 per salad, even though it replaced the normal salad supplied with the entree! Very disappointed by that.

Totally enjoyed our dinner, it was a special occasion for us. Our anniversary was September 1st. We arrived early and walked around Smithville, the went into the Inn. We were also early for dinner, so we went and had a seat at the bar and waited for our time. Our server was very nice, we sat in the porch area and could see outside somewhat. We enjoyed everything. We will be back soon. Thank you for a lovely evening!!

My husband and I each had the prime rib .... It was the worst we have ever had. It was flavorless, tough and appeared to be twice cooked. For a slow roast it should be pink and it was brown on both sides yet pink in the middle. Neither of us wanted to saw and saw our meat (not to mention chewing) so we really didn't eat more than a few bites. I will say the French onion soup was very good as was the coffee. The waitress was not very attentive, never asking if we wanted a refill on our sodas We were seated way to the back though there were tables closer to a view of the water. We will not be returning here any time soon.

It's always a pleasure to visit one of our favorite restaurants. We haven't been there for a long time, yet everyone still remembered us and we're very personable. The service was impeccable and the food is always delicious.
