Horribly treated by Owner – I am a new customer. I order between $100.00 - $200.00 every two weeks. I call in my order, pay over the phone and curbside pickup. During my last pickup, my dog was with me as she always is and is contained to the car with the windows just cracked open. She is barking when she sees farm animals and the owner screams out her window. “Bring your dog somewhere else, I won’t tell you again” The animals weren’t bothered by barking nor were they frightened and my dog was in the car. But Stacie the owner didn’t stop there. She HARRASSED me from the time I arrived until I drove away with my order. Shocking and Disgraceful behavior. I support small U.S. businesses including Farms and this is the gratitude. I buy from other farms and they are accessible, appreciative, and wonderful to interact with. I emailed her 3X giving her an opportunity to make things right and she never responded. This is the ownership behind the brand. Wow!IN RESPONSE TO COMPANY RESPONSE , I did not blow out of proportion , the owner's daughter did. She did not stop screaming at me from the time I arrived until I drove off. I did not have any ill intention when near the fence. I love animals and so does my dog. It was done with good intentions. The manager of the store never said anything to us before about it so how would I know what was problematic to the owner. I respectfully drove away when asked but then when near the store waiting for my order, I was still yelled at. My dog is in a car barking. Thats normal and we were nowhere near the animals so yelling at me at that point near the store was unreasonable and irrational. A common courtesy is to have a discussion with someone not harass them. Answer an email professionally as an owner should. Ignoring an email sends a poor message and at no point was any mention made of appreciation of business or an explanation of her behavior. I can get past it as you mentioned with the understanding that I will be given the same respect as you expect and feel appreciated and welcome as any customer should. Treatment of customers has everything to do with your business. That's my expectation, what's yours?

Ok, I did not want to write a review because the secret will be out. NJ has an organic butcher with very reasonable prices. I will say it this way...I will happily drive an hour each way. Beef? Every cut imaginable, grass fed and finished, pasture raised. Talk about hechsher, the animals are well treated. This place is a true godsend for people looking for organic and pasture raised beef, pork and chicken.Great, friendly staff. Very helpful.

Worth the drive! Their meat is grown using sound principles of organic and regenerative farming practices which yields to a healthier product and is better for the environment. The staff is nice too-always pleasant shopping there. Also, farm store has other healthy choices to round out your meal.

Another great way to support local farms, and to put the highest quality beef, pork, poultry, cheese into our bodies, as well as dog food, and other amazing things! As owners of Extreme Fitness for the past 23 years, there’s no place else I would recommend people go for their grass, fed, finished meats, and pasture, raised animal products than Skillman!

I am interested in buying 1/2 a cow it's been 3 day and counting and no one hasn't got to me about it. So I won't be going there if that's how they do business .

Once you develop a taste for the First Class can't go back to Economy. Skillman Farm meat is first class for us. Healthier, fresher, and tastier at much lower cost compared to grain fed, defrosted grocery meat. Why would anyone buy from grocery store?

Great cuts of meat and limited but super fresh vegetables!! They have homemade items and friendly people working there. Everything fresh with a nice frozen section as well. It’s a bit of a drive for me but worth its weight in gas!

I was trying to find a bone in rib roast the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and could not locate one called Skillman Butcher shop and they did not have one but said they would cut me one for pick up on Saturday. It was the first thing I made on my new smoker. It came out great and the meat was worth every penny - definitely my new spot for meat! They’re chicken is also very good we picked up a few chicken quarters too.

Took a ride from South Jersey to Skillman’s and it did not disappoint!! The two girls who were working that Saturday morning were so helpful and very nice. I could not wait to get home to grill this boneless ribeye!!! This was my first steak after not eating meat for 2 years. All I have to say is once you go grass fed you will never go back! I can’t wait to go back to Skillman’s to stock up!

Question : how long does your ground beef stay good for (Estimate of course ) after day of pick up . (Again not actual time due to variation) 1-2weeks I hope, in the fridge .So my two cents about the service review people . U said “how can you plan a meal around the next day pick up “ .. that’s absolutely ridiculous, what do u do buy the food the same day you cook it ? Maybe you should plan around your schedule .. why would a company plan around you , sounds like you think the world revolves around you .I made my order 2 days before thanksgiving and it was ready that same day like 3-4 hours later and I bought 300$ worth of meats . Didn’t seem unfair , even if I had to wait till the next day .. I buy meats for 2 weeks out at a time and buy frozen for the longer haul . Beef doesn’t loose nutrition in the freezer .I didn’t see any issues going here , and I live an easy solid 1.15 hours away .
