This was my first time at a Hand Stone facility. The minute I walked in, the front staff Lauren and Selena greeted me with a smile and a friendly conversation. They walked me thru the check in process and introduced me to my massage specialist who was Alexis. The place was clean and peaceful. I have not got a massage in over 2 years so I was a bit nervous. Alexis explained to me what I needed to do and answered all my questions I had. I never had hot stones(definitely recommend) before so I was asking a lot of questions. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The massage was amazing and Alexis did a great job! It was so relaxing and calm. I live in Old Bridge and I will take the drive to go back for Alexis. She was awesome! I would recommend this place for any massage or facial services!

Today I got my Microdermabrasion and facial done by Diane. She is very much professional, understanding. During the whole process I did not feel a little bit of pain, may be her technique she follows makes it a painless treatment. I always had painful sittings with my previous vendors(Not hand and stone). Thanks Daine. See you soon.

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, my husband and I have gotten lots of massages from some really awesome spas and we came here a few months ago and I honestly had one of the best massages I’ve probably ever had and everyone was great. Shonda did my massage and I would absolutely return to this location… the front Desk person was also super friendly, helpful and kind and helped us with transferring a credit.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional services provided by Alexis (massage) and Monique (facial). Their expertise and dedication truly set them apart as top-notch employees, and I would easily rate their individual services with a perfect score of 5 out of 5.However, I regret to say that my overall rating is impacted by my encounters with the front desk. As a member, I had signed up with the intention of indulging in a monthly relaxing visit. The tranquility I sought was consistently overshadowed by billing issues.Upon signing up for my membership, I scheduled my next massage a month in advance. However, when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was informed that my membership had not yet become active and, therefore, my visit was not covered. Naturally, I was puzzled as to why this scheduling oversight occurred, and I expressed my concerns. Unfortunately, the front desk staff responded to my inquiry with hostility, vehemently denying any mistake on their part.To my dismay, I ended up paying for the massage out of pocket, only to discover that my membership fee was charged to my credit card just two days later. Frustrated by these inconsistencies and the lack of clarity in their billing practices, I ultimately decided to cancel my membership altogether.While I hold Alexis and Monique's services in high regard, I believe that the relaxation and peace of mind that should accompany a visit to this establishment were significantly compromised by the front desk's lack of product knowledge and the overall feeling of being deceived and taken advantage of. It is disheartening to encounter such difficulties when all I wanted was a stress-free experience.In conclusion, I highly appreciate the exceptional services provided by Alexis and Monique, but the shortcomings in the front desk's professionalism and their handling of billing matters have left me with reservations about recommending this business to others.

I read the previous reviews and it surprised me that I was not the only one who had a bad experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! They’re a scam. It was my first time and been so excited for my facial. They were pretty accommodating at the beginning until they charged me twice in my credit card. I have a gift card and it’s my first time to use it and said they see a zero balance which is weird. The front desk girl Brianna charged my cc twice by accident. I received a call from Shanda the manager that she finally found the money from the gift card and made me happy about the news. She then told me she will refund the 2 transactions. But i only received the first transaction. It’s been 3 weeks now and I did not receive any update. Both owners Bryan and a Melissa were copied in the email sent by Shanda but no one has ever responded. I then called Brianne and she said the owner is there and will call me. I just called the place just today to follow up coz nothing happened. The owners doesn’t care about their customers. They will not refund me. It breaks my heart because I am not rich. As a healthcare professional, I needed some relaxation for my mental health. But I ended up being stressed out. This place should close.

This spa absolutely needs to close down the owners Bryan Scheff and Melissa k are ABSOLUTELY horrible people, my daughter came in under GiftCard under the member price of ($74.58), Her giftcard had $117 she only spent $74.58. She has a remaining balance of $40, front desk Absolutely refused to give her the giftcard back with her remaining balance saying it was nothing left on the card. I’ve had a problem with Bryan And Melissa In the past so I’m all too familiar with them but this is ABSOLUTELY CONSIDERED STEALING AND I WILL BE REACHING OUT TO CORPORATE IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE YOU GUYS SHUT ALL THE WAY DOWN!

From the moment you walk in, you know that you are in for a special experience. The friendly greeting, the relaxing music, the sound of running water from the fountain - it all adds up to an experience that is hard to find at other spas. I have had several services here - from a basic massage to the Cryoskin facial - and I can honestly say that I don't have a favorite provider. They are all great! The monthly membership is a great deal and it helps to keep me on track as far as taking care of my physical and mental health. Need a break from the daily grind? Look no further than the Hand and Stone location in Montgomery, NJ!

Do NOT visit this location. They are not customer friendly whatsoever. I bought a gift card and they charged me twice and refuse to reimburse me telling me I bought the gift card at another location while having my bank statement in hand detailing the double charge and this location. The manager is insolent insisting I, the customer is incorrect. She refused to assist me, was defensive, not helpful, and beyond rude. She even called the police on me and they shrugged their shoulders as they saw it was simply a civil dispute. How this woman was made a manager is beyond comprehension. I left without still being reimbursed as the owner now needs to call me back. This location is not customer focused at all.

I usually don’t go for facials or massages, but my experience was very calming and relaxing. Monique was excellent, and the service was incredibly relaxing. I almost fell asleep during my facial towards the end.

I drove 45 minutes to see a particular specialist. I requested him when making an appointment. And i did wait for a while as the guy was booked solid.Because I was marked as " intro" they had no issue of moving me to a different person without notice. When I came, I said that I have an appointment with XXX. Receptionist said that he was booked and I need to see a lady that was on a schedule. Sorry, NO. As a business owner, I never move my customers to different rep if they request a particular person to be assisted by.

I have been coming to this Hand and Stone location since the fall, shortly after they opened. I'm pleased to share that this location employs an excellent aesthetician. If you are looking for a high quality facial from someone who is very experienced, ASK FOR JAN! I have been getting facials for 20 years and she is, bar none, the best person who's ever worked on my skin. What I appreciate is that she never tries to sell me a pricy service if she knows it's not appropriate for me; she is always knowledgeable and honest. I'm so grateful to her! I've also had a few massages from Alexis, who is very skilled and great at what she does.

I wouldn’t even give this place a star. I tested positive for covid and had to cancel 22 hours prior to my appointment and they still had to charge me because I was taking up that time and the provider still had to get paid… pretty sure they would be able to fill that time pretty quick as they claim they are always busy. I requested to cancel my membership but never got the paperwork but yet they were so quick to charge my card before I can even hang up the phone. I will take my business elsewhere. Unprofessional.

My massage was not good at all. It was as if the person never did a massage before. My facial was horrible because the esthetician put something on my face that burnt my skin on my face. Trying to talk to management was a hassle & when I did get a chance to speak to her she was very nonchalant about the situation as if she didn't care my face was burnt.

Very pleasant and nice place.Friendly front desk staff. Therapist are very well knowledgeable about what treatment would your body need … looking at you they can advise what is best for you. Awesome place to go.
