So sorry to see one of the few brick & mortar stores close. Always a wonderful experience shopping there. From small items to area rugs. Customer service is fabulous. Best wishes for a wonderful retirement Mara! You will be missed!

I worked with Mara to design two swivel chairs and a 84 inch couch for my first home. It was my first time customizing such a big purchase but she was very patient with walking me through the different fabrics. She also helped me tie my vision all together. The delivery was way longer than expected but I know that was partially due to Covid. In the end it was worth the wait because I love all 3 pieces! Also worth upgrading the cushion in the chairs. Now just need to finish decorating

Bought a sofa here last August. After less than a year fabric started shredding. Sofa was sent to North Carolina for repair. Because I have a dog, they refused. No one ever asked me if I had a dog. Now no one can tell me where my sofa is. You would think when you spend that kind of money the customer would always be right. Not with River Road. Be very careful.

Mara and her team go above and beyond to design your dream interiors.. very creative with ideas and recommendations but never over bearing ...I felt like making my selections was a collaborative and fun experience! Highly recommend this as the best furniture store in Monmouth county

Apparently if you ask too many questions of this store, they write you off as a difficult dissatisfied client and inform you that they no longer wish to proceed with your purchase. After weeks of working with one of their sales people, I dared to ask for a sketch of what my $3,000 drapes would look like after realizing I was under a misconception. I also got stuck paying separately for the measure and learned the same would hold true for the installation. Information NOT told to me! So $3,000 does not include the measurements to properly create the drapes nor install. Lastly, I expressed the desire to move forward ASAP in the hopes the drapes could be hung before Christmas. Truly outrageous of me. Apparently. I now have measurements that are useless to me because why would anyone in their right mind rely on someone else's information other than their own to create these drapes! I requested a refund since THEY have decided not to move forward and I received my $75 measurements instead. Let me say that I am not a difficult person and as I worked through numerous fabric choices I kept thanking the woman for her patience and this is what I got in return. I would never recommend this store to anyone. Stay away.

We dealt with Mara from The store from river road while looking for some more information on a bedroom set. She was incredibly helpful going above and beyond taking the time to answer all our questions on several pieces. Pleasure to deal with and i would highly recommend!

A very rare find! Top quality retail furniture store with a very experienced interior design staff. They do it all, from a lamp to an entire house, including window treatments!
