This review has nothing to do with the store but an online purchase. Pottery barn does not have a section on their website to leave a review-which now I understand why. I’m really disappointed with my experience. I ordered a white Hello Kitty book bag, and it arrived without the bow button. I figured it was just a fluke since I’ve always liked Pottery Barn products. So, I ordered another Hello Kitty book bag, but this one came with the stitching ripped out on the handle.
Now I have a very upset little girl and I’ve spent $64 on each bag. It’s frustrating to deal with returns, especially when I need a reliable bag for my child. I ended up getting a $35 bag from Amazon instead. I expected better quality and service from Pottery Barn. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering any more book bags from here.

Extremely disappointing. For such high quality luxury brand they have the most incompetent sales/ customer service. We got sold as a chair cover of the wrong size. Management took very little responsibility for it. Didn’t offer any compensation for the event as well. Utter incompetence.

Hannah was incredibly helpful in resolving a registry issue, applying a completion discount, and placing an order. The best part being that it was all taken care of over the phone within minutes, I didn’t have to go back to the store. Excellent customer service, I’d recommend to anyone!

Wow!!! Just when I thought I would get a recording, Anthony answered my call and helped me with my questions. He went above and beyond any customer service I have ever received! Anthony, I hope you have a wonderful holiday because being the best deserves the best!

Do not waste your money. Store staff was a pleasure to deal with. That’s where it ends. We purchased a nursery chair and were told it would be delivered within 3 weeks. A week later we were told there has been a change and it won’t arrive until March. When we called we were told they can try to cancel it but we may have to wait for it to be delivered before we can return it? We were also informed if they allow us to cancel, we still have to pay the shipping and handling since it comes from overseas? Do yourself a favor and purchase elsewhere, we thought we were dealing with a reputable company but it’s more of a headache than it’s worth. All the chairs are probably made in the same factory so save money and shop elsewhere. Now we are without a chair and having to fight for our money back 3 weeks ahead of our due date.

I was talked to in a condescending tone by the older woman seeming frustrated trying to learn how to process a transaction on the register. However, it seemed like her coworkers were also tired of her complaints, so I didn't take this personally. Everyone else was kind and helpful.

For the cost of their goods they provide the absolute worst service. Ordered a birthing chair in April for our son due in late august. We now have our son... and from pottery barn we have a bunch of excuses. What we ordered was listed as "in stock." Magically it was going to be delivered in May...then on delivery day, unlike our child, the chair disappeared and theCustomer service agent told us they had to re order. We specifically ordered an in stock chair so this wouldn't happen. Without a doubt the cost of their goods are not worth the absolute angering process of receiving them. We also ordered a living room couch from their adult store that had a similar issue that they blamed on the pandemic (7 month delivery). Overall I would give 0 stars to this company. It makes sense knowing that they are headquartered in San Francisco, the human feces capital of the world. If you are in the northern NJ area, please go to Babies R Us which has reopened in the American Dream mall. Cost is cheaper and quality is the same from what I saw on the floor model.

They are the biggest scam company on earth. Empty promises and total chaos with customer service and products. Shop elsewhere.

Customer service is severely lacking. My husband and I were obviously checking out gliders, and a pottery barn rep who was helping someone else rudely asked us if we could move so she could show this other couple the glider I (6mo pregnant) was sitting on. She could've just waited 2 minutes as we were actively checking it out to buy. Really soured our experience.

They say you get a discount when you have a baby registry but won’t honor it! Horrible customer service

Expensive, but fashionable furniture. This is what I'd expect of a shop if I was looking for American Dolls furniture for real kids. I do appreciate the design of the loft beds for tables underneath and a bookshelf; it's a good use of space for small rooms. Designed for short kids though, youll have to replace quickly for kids that grow up fast.

I ordered a "tower" (bookcase) as part of the Cameron Wall System. It came in good condition and unassembled, as expected. I liked it so much I ordered a second one. The second one came assembled, dirty, and missing a foot. I paid full price for this item. I CANNOT BELIEVE that a company that brands themselves as "upscale" would even CONSIDER charging someone full price for something without so much as a disclaimer that it's used or in an open box. I went online to leave a review and realized, they don't allow for reviews of their products on their websites, and questions asked by customers are not posted publicly. What a shameful company. I will never shop here again.

Do not shop here or order anything from here - absolute no customer service. They're website doesn't provide you any details at all and yet you have to risk it and if they have inaccurate description, they'll still charge you a hefty return fee.

Avoid. If you’re committed to buying something from PB, look at the item in the store, but then order online. We purchased a glider from Angela with about a 12 week lead time - she assured us that the chair and a half version of the chair in the showroom would be a recliner. Fast forward 3 months later to when it was delivered, and no recliner. If ordered online, I would’ve noticed it wasn’t a feature. I rejected the delivery and called the store where I spoke to a Krista. To be fair, I believe she did what she was equipped to do, which was to call PB customer service, but it does not excuse her attitude and tone, and screaming at someone 9.5 months pregnant who did nothing wrong other than ask for a resolution to the problem. She said she was leaving the company in two days, so understandably had little care or incentive but nonetheless has left a mark on the store’s/company’s reputation. I called the customer service line afterwards (pretty distraught.. pregnancy hormones and all) and was told I’d get a refund once the chair is returned (which I have no control of since the delivery people just took it back), so will hope it’s processed otherwise will go down the path of a credit card dispute.
