This is the liquor store inside Kings supermarket. It has a decent selection of beer, wine, and spirits. You may pay a little more here but it's convenient if you're already shopping and just want to pick up a six pack or bottle on the way home.

85% of employees are miserable and I've lived around here for years. The place is well "merchandised" but let's hire more people who kind of want to be there?! I only go there for a few things and would rather give my business to the gross shoprite across the street. Of course, but all my meats at wholefood.

Why fix what's already broken... Aisles all dressed up with no one to answer a question. I've never been a fan of their higher prices but as a last resort it was convenient. Now it's just a waste of time. Absolutely ZERO customer service. For the 2nd time in a week, no one can answer a question. 2 people at the "customer service" desk, one supposedly a manager. Last time the answer was to go ask someone at the deli counter about a dairy item. 2 deli people shrugged and barely emoted a sentence to the tune of "if it's not out there, we don't have it". Tonite the answer was "the cheese girl is out on a break. Can you wait". My answer is "No and I won't be returning". How do you stay in business? We've been living here two decades and we've watched the steady decline of their product, value, and customer service. You can forgive a few dollars more here and there if you're getting exceptional product and personal attention.

Beautiful, huge store with such a nice selection of everything- from cheese to produce to the prepared foods. The real star of the show, though, is the cooking studio tucked away in the back. I was able to attend a class here and had a great hands-on learning experience. Our instructor was so sweet and attentive, answering any and all questions that our group had. The equipment they use is top-notch and the ingredients are fresh from the store. They offer many different classes each month, so there's bound to be a class that appeals to your palate. You get copies of all the recipes so that you can make them at home. Class prices are reasonable, too. It's definitely worth checking out!

One stop shopping (wine and booze too), terrific seafood, able butcher staff, terrific produce too! I love that even on Sunday they have copies of the Weekend Wall St Journal available! A bit pricy on some items, but their prepared foods are excellent. Good deli section too.

I prefer this location over the Chatham one. The store is bigger with more options. It appears cleaner, better organized and less cluttered then the competition.

Kings Cooking Class is a hidden gem in the back of the Kings of Short Hills. I have been attending cooking classes here since I was a little kid. They have a ton of different menus that you can choose from with different cooking instructors. I have done everything from kiddie carnival foods (corn dogs, pinwheels, pigs in a blanket), to Italian feasts to cake decorating. These participations based cooking classes usually have a class size of around 12 people. I highly recommend coming to a Kings Cooking Class for a fun date night or night out with the girls.

I used to love this store, but there are a couple of issues. Pros: 1. Parking is way easier here than at the Shop Rite across the way. 2. Bakery is very nice, with gluten free options and friendly employees. 3. The meat is great, as are the meat employees. Cons: 1. Produce Dept is a disaster! I am never happy with the produce here. It is either expired or has gone bad by the next day. I always have to go somewhere else for produce after shopping here. 2. Fish Department - when you can get fish guy to stop texting and help you, he is absolutely unable to answer any questions and it's obvious he doesn't care. I am not comfortable buying seafood here because of this. The deli is ok. Prices are high. It's not really worth it to come here.

I go to Kings about once every two weeks to do some food shopping, especially in the bakery and cheese aisle. The place is bright and clean. The staff is very helpful as well.

The bakery department is wonderful. The custom sheet cake I ordered was beautifully done...recreated from an on line picture I brought in. Everyone remarked about the cake...not only the decoration but the cake itself...chocolate cake was flavorful and light..not dry...and I liked that the icing was not toothnumbing sweet.

Fabulous market, great prepared foods and very friendly staff. For the cook , the butcher counter offers prime meat and the fish counter offers optimum fresh choices. Worth traveling to.

This is the best supermarket in my area and I love it. It's not just the incredible selection of food from locally made pate, fresh local cheeses, a million kinds of hummus, fresh bread and pastries, an abundance of spices & oils, prepared foods of restaurant quality, etc. I could go on well ok also has great fresh fish and sushi . The produce is top notch as well. But the thing that makes Kings stand head and shoulders above all others is the service and incredible courtesy of their associates. Always smiling and happy to help. It is a joy to shop here. Checkout is almost always quick and easy. They also have a small but excellent wine and spirits shop in store with some great selections that are not your typical supermarket swill like bourbon from the Catskills or Japanese scotch. In addition the beer selection is also surprisingly strong. You can't lose coming here. Prices are somewhat higher but I'd rather pay more and not have my produce rot before I get home. I wouldn't come here to stock up on cleaning supplies but for food hell yes. Also have a high quality florist shop in store. So IMHO you should shop here.
