The Beginning. The first Indigo location opened in Burlington Ontario in 1997, created with the desire to bring a unique cultural destination to the Canadian retail marketplace. Indigo Books & Music Inc. ("Indigo"), as it exists today, was created in August 2001 upon the merger with Chapters Inc.You can enjoy flipping through the books and relax before checking out your items. They also have a section for kids, and sell bath-wear stuff, kitchenware, stationeries, etc. It's become my favorite coffee table bookstore in New Jersey. The displays are lovely and the children's section is a wonderland.

Although the mix of products is interesting and the children's toy selection is ample, the fact that you have to buy a reusable bag for your purchases completely turned me off. Instead, I purchased on lone for less money and benefited from free delivery.

Expecting people to hold on to paper receipts for refunds is soooo 1980.I bought something here for an office party that turned out to be broken. When I took it back, they refused to give me a refund, even though I had the same credit card I paid with and showed them the transaction details. 2 stars instead of 1 because they replaced the defective product. It’s a shame because I liked this store.

Five stars for the Indigo store at the Mall of Short Hills, NJ! This store is a haven for book lovers and so much more. Its atmosphere and diverse selection of books, gifts, and home decor make it a great place to shop for all ages

This review is strictly for my customer service experience as I like the store itself and books.I purchased an online e- gift card from Indigo online but when the recipient could not use it in the store she was informed that because Indigo is a Canadian company with only one US location, she could only use a gift card purchased in store. This was not indicated on the website. I contacted the store and the female manager I spoke with was rude and provided poor customer service. She could have at the very least apologized for the inconvenience but she was very short and only referred me the customer service number.

This book store is quite large and they have other things besides books such as small gifts, blankets, cups utensils... They have a great selection of true crime. Non-fiction.

The store is stunning. We have them in canada everywhere but i've never been to one this nice. It's a boutique experience. Unfortunately the hours and the location suck. I wanted to buy so much but they rushed us out 20 mins before closing :(I will make another special trip. But i'm disappointed i wasn't able to make a purchase my first visit. It also seems to be dog friendly!!
