Guest services are lacking here. We stayed here for 3 nights waiting for our grandson to be born. Day 2 we decided to kill some time at the mall across the street. Big street, big mall. So we went to get our car from the valet, and he suggested we take the free shuttle instead. They have a Cadillac car and a van. They told us to just call when we were done shopping. Great right? Not when you call and they don't pick you up! My husband is an 80 year old veteran with both a knee and hip replacement. He was already tired from walking in the mall when we called. We were at the furthest end of the mall and were told by the woman at the desk that there was no driver! I asked that the manager call us back to make something happen, get us a car! Call an Uber or simply send someone in the car who had a drivers license! It's a mile away! My husband was already DONE! This was difficult for him, and across a road that was more like a freeway! If we would have know this would potentially happen we would have taken our car! The manager finally called my cell as we were walking into the hotel. On the positive side the hotel beds are good and rooms are clean. We were looking forward to room service but every one of the 3 days of breakfasts we ordered was wrong. First morning they only brought one of the two meals, next morning forgot the bacon altogether, third morning forgot the cheese on the eggs. They want you to order using the QR code but you can't order scrambled eggs there, or plain yogurt. So when you call they sometimes don't answer.Dinner was excellent in the restaurant albeit expensive. We actually spent more on food than the room. Alejandro the waiter in the restaurant was the best! He saved the stars from being 1 star because he was so attentive and friendly. You can tell he loves his job, and is a people person.

Wonderful historic yet modern refurbished hotel in the Short Hills area.. bar and restaurant is a highlight… lots of big businesses and offices close by.. must visit if one is in this zip code for comfy staying at a hotel.. bartenders are genuinely friendly and very helpful in deciding on drinks / food to eat… highly recommend and would love to come back if I’m here again.

Great location but some limitations on the temperature. Wouldn't go below 74. Restaurant staff was very friendly. Clean and attentive

Diamond Member left $4000 worth of David Yurman jewelery in room. Claimed it as mine and stated wanting it back a few days after the stay. Gave all my info - name, address, etc.Discussed the value and importance. Property "disposed" of it. I don't believe that they threw it out and further can't get an accounting of where it went.Terrible. Not even 1 call, text, email or anything about it.Could have mailed it to address on file.

Such a great hotel with so many amenities. They have the pool, gym, hot tub and a sauna. All of those areas were very clean. The locker room had lockers in them. They have number locks on them. The showers were clean as well. The bartender was great. Steve made great drinks and kept us entertained the entire night. I will come back to the bar just to chat with him some more. He definitely knows how to bartend. The rooms were your typical hotel room. The entire hotel was 5 star.Rooms: The rooms were very clean.Nearby activities: Downtown Summit is not to far. They have a few bars and restaurants to go to.Walkability: The short hills mall is right across the street from the mall.

This is a 3-star hotel at best. We had connecting rooms & the connecting door's handle came right off first day. One of the mini fridges was not working & we didn't notice at first, lost a bunch of perishables. There were lip marks on one of the glasses. The towels were small, thin & rough. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms. The comforters were laughably thin, not an exaggeration to say it was like having 2-3 sheets on you and that's it. I slept with my winter coat on top of the comforter. The parking is underneath the hotel and not very well lit, definitely recommend utilizing the valet service. Would never stay here again.

Everything about my stay was as expected except for the woman that checked me in. She was terse and condescending in both of two interactions.

Wonderful vibes. Great pools. Fell off the chair and cracks my @$$ because it was a broken chair. But this is a good spot.

Great 3-night stay. I especially liked the delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Ana provided wonderful service) and large gym. I had super restful sleep, thanks to the heavy blackout curtains.Small details could be improved, like the Peleton not turning on in the gym and the lamp next to the bed having a broken switch so couldn’t turn it on. Also, the tv in the room didn’t have any connections to streaming services except screen mirror through android devices.Would stay again though!

We booked this hotel through expedia. The regular check in time is 4pm, so we called ahead to confirm that we could check in an hour earlier so there could be no hassle. We arrived early at 2:30pm, but we recieved news from the manager, that the room was not ready. We were told to wait exactly one hour so they could get the room ready, so like a normal person, we came again at 3:30. We were told AGAIN to wait for another extended period because they did not finish room service yet. Our original time of check in is 4pm, meaning this was my third time attempting to check in, but we recieved news from the front office that the room was still not ready. We requested to speak to the manager, but a different manager approached us about the situation, telling us that they had not yet started room service on our room, mind that room service was requested 1.5 hours ago. There were no apologies for their inability to do their jobs, and the incompetence and behavior of the workers there was unbelievable. We asked if this was normal for the hotel, to be so delayed, so they called the room service, and eventually we recieved our room key at 4:40pm. I personally travel a lot, so my go-to hotel is usually Hilton. However, I have never come across such a rude, inefficient, amateur, and unprofessional hotel crew. During the one night we stayed there were no apologies said and noone to explain this absurd situation. Also, to add more, the basement parking's machine was broken, there were no signs, this may be the most horrendous hilton experience I have ever been through.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the team here at the Short Hills Hilton. I believe you can teach how to give good service but what really sets this team apart is their sincere level of caring and concern for each and every guest. Every single team member was so attentive & kind. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service during my stay but I have to mention Keesha who is an angel on earth. DaVonne who was delightful. Alejandro, Isiaah & Steve provided incredible service during every dinner & the food was absolutely top-notch. Jeff the F & B manager was super & clearly leads from the front. It was just an amazing experience during one of the saddest times in my life as my father's health has really been failing. They could not have made this experience any smoother or better, and I thank them ALL from the bottom of my heart.
