I had a very high estimated price through another repair facility, and unsure of where else to go. I could not have been happier with the decision to have my car serviced at this shop. My car now feels like new. I received pictures of the before and after, and the price was highly reasonable. “I had a great experience at AKAR! I had a tire tear on a long drive and pulled off the highway not knowing what to do. I was very lucky to come across AKAR where the mechanics provided me with speedy assistance, patching the tire in under half an hour, and charging me a very reasonable price. The patch worked for the next 120 miles until I returned the car. Would highly recommend!”

“I needed some emergency work done on my car and based on recommendations from neighbors and reviews on line, I drove up to West Lake Auto Center and spoke to Greg, one of the owners. He could not have been any nicer. My engine light was on and he explained that they were busy and probably would not get to look at my car until Tuesday…several days from when I went. Greg told me that he would TRY to take a look at my car the next day if I dropped it off, but I actually left it the night before. I thought perhaps maybe there would be a cancellation or they just could “squeeze” me in. They even offered to drive me home or pick me up, but I was able to get a ride from a neighbor. The first morning, I got a call that my spare key fob did not work. He provided me with a battery and he said if it was not available, he would pick up my main key fob. Luck had it and the battery worked. On Thursday afternoon, he gave me the diagnosis for the car and approximate cost. I just want you to know that my car had always been serviced and fixed by my dealer so I was nervous about leaving it and getting this intensive job done. He was going to try to get it done by Friday closing (holiday weekend, so closed Monday). I agreed on the price and Greg called the next morning and said that the car was finished….way before the promised time. My car rides like new and I feel very confident that I made the decision to do business here. Greg was extremely friendly and very professional. I felt strongly that he knew his stuff and I am sure that the mechanics here know what they are doing, I totally recommend coming here and will recommend them highly. I will need a servicing in a few months along with an oil change. Instead of going to the dealer, I am pretty sure I will go here. I love that they are nearby. The dealer does give me a loaner car, but I am not concerned with that for just a servicing. Try this place out and I think you will be as pleased as I am.”

They can service most ? . Generally speaking, Nobody will touch a Porsche!Don't go changing!”
“This place is a gem!!! Highly recommend. My Prius died nearby so I walked over to the shop to see if they could help with my hybrid. The owner Smitty immediately walked with me to my car, jump started it, and replaced the battery (for a reasonable price!) within a couple hours. Absolutely wonderful service, and Smitty is a pleasure to chat with. I will certainly bring my car back if I have any more issues!”

“Came here on a foggy rainy Friday morning for my car to be inspected. It was fast and reliable. I came to the shop around 9 am. They take a card and I think if you pay cash there's no upcharge. $75 for inspection paid by card which rouded up to 77 and change.I'd definitely come back here again for any small repairs I might have. Very convenient.”

It looks like some of the negative reviews on this listing are associated with the prior owner. The service was really good, the person pumping gas was quick-moving between cars. They also rinsed my windows. Overall, it was really courteous, thoughtful service.”
“I went to Richard’s Service Station for a synthetic oil change and low tire pressure light to be checked on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. I scheduled my appointment two hours beforehand. My car was completed on time and excellent condition of my car and a free car wash was provided. The mechanics were very good and knowledgeable about their work. “I am a home care physical therapist and I picked up a nail along my route this morning. Didn’t get the name of who helped me here but he helped me quickly swap the tire with my spare and also gave me great advice about when I should change my tires based on the fact that I drive so much for my job. I was able to get back on the road and was only 20 min behind my schedule of patients for the day. I am so grateful, thank you again!!!”
