Bought a new daiwa bg mq reel for my son this past weekend. The store was busy but they took the time to help my boy get a new reel and spooled it right up. Good price on baits and a great selection on everything fishing related. The store is actually pretty big. Nice people. Very impressed. We will definitely be back

After owning a few different fishing rods that were built by grumpys I was finally in the area and able to stop by. Totally blown away by the amount of different rod blanks and materials for building rods. Selection of different fishing equipment was crazy as well literally everything you could think of. Talked to the guys working the store and they were all very cool and super knowledgeable.

I’m very satisfied with the purchase of my odm rod with you guys!! Very knowledgeable as always, with tips and tricks on how to use it. I tested it right away and hooked on some blues and flukes. Odm nxd 1064 10.6????!

They have a nice selection.
Big but not overwhelming.
The guy in the store was encouraging and informative.
This is a good place to stop before you go fishing.
Update - APRIL 30, 2024
I was hoping to buy one of those large fishing carts...but they only had one model that was PVC and not Aluminum. That's ok...the search continues.
The guys who come to this store really seem to know what they are talking about. This is NOT the fishing section of Walmart...AND THAT'S A GOOD THING!

No change in the 5 star rating is necessary.
Quality bait that you can sort through yourself is always available at grumpys. That doesn't mean that I'm giving them 5 stars for the TASTE of the bait. Truthfully...I wouldn't know about that. But the fish that I catch in central jersey seem to like it...and that's good enough for me.
