Booked one night here during Labor Day and it was a quick getaway for myself.Room was clean and exactly what I needed for just me. I felt safe and management was friendly. I wasn't in my room much because I was visiting with friends elsewhere and out mostly the whole time.Great water pressure in the shower. Bed was comfy.Took a quick dip in the pool after beach time at Island Beach State Park. Pool was small, but did the trick for cooling off.Room next to me had a dirty cigarette bottle outside their door for a couple of days but at least it wasn't my room. LolOverall I was happy with my stay. Ohh and got a great last minute rate!!

I stayed for one night on a spur of the moment mid-week beach trip. Be sure to check the total with fees. An advertised rate of $109 was over $150 total.The double room I stayed in was clean. The deadbolt did not lock and the security chain was too short to actually slide in place. The window AC unit was powerful and kept the room comfy. Shower was hot and good water pressure. The toilet was nearly unusable. I’m a tiny person and had to sit side-saddle to use it or my knees banged into the wall.If you arrive late or don’t have a compact car, you will park across the street and down the block.There is no coffee maker in room and no coffee provided by the hotel.WiFi was not functional during my stay.

We stayed in July 2023. Location is hard to beat. Located next to a fire station and police/govt building, very quiet area. 711 across the street and 5 minute walk from the boardwalk and waterpark. No bugs. Great ac. Free parking. My son loved the pool. The owner and staff were very nice.

The location is great, it is blocks from the boardwalk. The rooms are small, the bathroom even smaller!!! But you're not coming here to hang out in the room, you're coming here to go to the beach. Soooo. It's just a place to lay your head. I'd come back again.

I had a great stay this weekend at the Anchor Motel. This hotel is walking distance to the boarwalk and beach. The room was clean, plenty of towels, and the staff was super friendly. I would stay there again.

We stayed at JD s apartment and it was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean, spacious, and a short walk to everywhere. We will definitely be returning !

We always stay here when we visit Seaside Heights. The owners and staff are all extremely nice and accommodating. The rooms are always clean and suit our needs. The location is close to the beach and police department which makes it feel very safe.Thanks again for another great experience!!

We’re staying in room 4. Not disappointed in any way. It’s quiet, clean, and the staff quite friendly. You can grill by the pool area. I highly recommend. It’s small but worth our stay!

This is an exemplary little hotel. The room that I had was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.Equally important, everything worked well. The shower had great water pressure, with water that got as hot as I wanted. The programmable air conditioner was very strong. And the refrigerator kept the items I put in there icy cold.The location is great, just a short walk from the Seaside Heights boardwalk and the Casino Pier. Also, it is one block from a 7-Eleven, so obtaining food even after the boardwalk closed was very easy.The rooms have doors that open to the outside, not to a hallway. (Or, more correctly: if there are rooms that open to a hallway, I didn't see them.) This made coming and going very convenient, especially as I had my bicycle with me.The pool looked great; alas, I did not get the chance to enjoy it during my stay. Maybe next time.The owners give the impression of being very hands-on and conscientious.If you are looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay, and you do not require luxury to be satisfied, then you should definitely try the Anchor Motel.

The location was perfect, we parked when we arrived and didn't touch our car again. Everything is within walking distance. Our room was clean, with great air conditioning. It was nice and quiet at night, so we slept well. The staff was friendly and made check in and out a breeze. We will definitely stay again next time we are in town.

Zero housekeeping, shoulda known from the absence of "do not disturb" tag. First night checked in, saw a lipstick stain on my pillow case. Floor is covered in sand. Owners were nice, but the workers there you could tell they have been in and out of rehab on a regular basis. Definitely not the best motel I have stayed at. Precinct next door didn't enhance the quality of my experience.

Room was super clean! Perfect for an overnight or weekend. Great location. Police next door, small pool. Don't expect the Ritz, but it was perfect for what was needed. Staff was very very nice as well. Rooms have microwave and mini fridge.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Memorial Day Weekend. Couldn’t be happier ! The owners / managers are the nicest people you will ever meet and everyone loves them. Very nice security at night so it doesn’t get too loud , we had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

The Anchor Motel is old, I understand. But the prices they charge and the upkeep just aren't matching. I checked into the hotel around 3:30 in the afternoon. They put us upstairs at the very end of the hall. The halls are very narrow. However there was this family that loved to post up outside, so it was hard to get by them when bringing our luggage. Annoying. On to the room.... Stains on the comforter, stains on the lamp. I turned on the shower to see if it drained. Immediately when the shower hit the stall, it started washing off the left over dirt that was already there!!! Shower drained, but it was a dirty stall. I cleaned all of the surfaces, Lysoled the room. Also one of the pillows had the stuffing poking out. The bed was also broken. I give it two stars because I saw no bed bugs, the shower drained and no bugs were entering the room. Also the location was good.
