Super nice people and I am sure that is how they get away with gauging. Paid a $250 diagnostic fee which in itself is criminal. Was given a $2200 repair quote. Walked away and got it fixed a mile away for $580 - works perfectly. Unless you are on warranty there is zero reason to go here for service.

Hi Matt, While I appreciate your response regarding the "document retention fee" I do not view the use of the example of not charging fees to use a credit card as valid in this case as I could pay with cash or check to avoid these fees which I assume you still accept. I was offered no option to refuse the "document retention fee" which means it should be absorbed as a cost of doing business and not passed onto the consumer. Anytime I have been asked to pay a "convenience fee" for credit card use I have immediately cancelled my transaction and paid with cash or check. I would prefer to retain my own documents and not pay extra for the storage, perhaps this will be considered if enough complaints are received.

Fraudulent service practices. Lester Glenn Honda of Sea Girt, NJ charged me for services that were not performed. I requested basic service: oil change with filter and a tire rotation. I marked my tires and oil filter to be able to verify service was completed. I was called by the service department and was told my vehicle was finished and ready for pick-up. I paid for the services and received a receipt of services completed. When I checked my vehicle to verify the services were completed, I was able to confirm that the oil filter was not changed and the tires were not rotated. I requested the service manager and showed him the requested and paid for service was not completed. I was able to prove to the service manager that the service was not completed and he agreed and apologized. This is fraudulent business practices.Services: Tire rotations

Not sure if my experience was due to lack of competence, intelligence or integrity, but the below facts are what happened today, so I recommend being very careful and meticulous if going through purchase details with this dealership. In two instances today at the dealership, first the salesperson gave me a number without the $1900 accessories we agreed to at the salesperson's desk; he then went back to the finance and said that he got the $1900 INCLUDED in the $34,000 price we agreed to. So that got fixed verbally, but later in the process, about 45 minutes later, the finance person gave me the payments amount and the interest rate, but the finance folks added back in the $1900 in accessories we had agreed were already in the final sales price. I would not have caught this except that the payment seemed high, so I asked what principal amount he was using. He said something above $36k. I said that is not the number I was given. He said something like "but then you added on accessories." I said that was supposed to be IN the $34k. He said something like "Oh, that was supposed to already be in the $34,000? Let me go see about that. I responded "There is no deal. I am leaving." He pleaded, but I walked out and it was all I could do not to rip into him and the sales guy loudly, but life is too short so I just left and drove away. The head of sales called me later and said on a voicemail "Mr. Lane, this is so-and-so, and I understand it might seem like you were mislead but there were 'a lot of pencils' (must be some new sales folks excuse they use when someone catches them) on your deal and I can assure you if you come back that you will get the deal you agreed to at the $34+ level." Funny how their errors always favor them. Not a single error was in my favor. Hmmmmm. Wouldn't by a pair of socks there.

Alex Kondos was made to Sell Honda's at Lester Glenn especially having Mike in finance to tag team on getting me in and out of the dealership with not one problem what so ever. All my needs were met along with price point. No extra this, or you need that, no BS just got me the car I needed and made me feel good about this deal. Efficient, reliable and personable the entire location is. Give this small beach town dealership a chance and you'll be in good hands. I'll be back and bring family & friends. Thank you all!

I had been putting off replacing a failing car for a long time because of my anxiety about dealing with high-pressure salespeople. These people took the fear out of car buying. They were polite, supportive and let me make the decision in the end. Plus, they handled all the heavy lifting when it came to the paperwork. I am now in a gently used Honda Fit and couldn't be happier. Highest recommendation to anyone seeking a used or new car.

This review is for the Service Department at Lester Glenn Honda. I can't say enough good things about Joe the Service Director and John Kelly my Service Advisor and the work that was done by the whole team on my 2020 Odyssey. Since Lester Glenn has taken over it's been a completely different experience and a 180 degree change for the better. Great customer service is so hard to come by and the folks here really go the extra mile and treat you with respect and make you want to be a repeat customer. I originally purchased my car from this dealership when it was still Coast Honda and even getting someone on the phone to set up service was a chore, let alone actually scheduling an appointment. At check-in Joe was extremely friendly and professional and reviewed the services I had requested when I scheduled the appointment and let me know when I should expect the car to be ready. I dropped it off at 9:30a for an A127--Oil Change, Engine/Cabin Air Filters, Brake Fluid Service and Tire Rotation. I also had a tire with a slow leak that I expected to need to replace, and an issue with the foot sensor on the tailgate. Was told to expect the car by 3pm. I got a call around 1:30 letting me the car would be ready EARLY. I arrived around 2:30 and as promised my car was ready. John reviewed all the services that were done and what I needed to be aware of based on their recommendations for my next service. Rather than trying to force me to purchase a new tire, they were upfront that there was a screw in the tire, it could be patched and put back on the road. The foot sensor on the tailgate was fixed under warranty and all of the other services were handled properly. Looking forward to being a longtime customer here. Thanks again.
