We switched from another vet several months ago, and so far, our experience has been perfect. They don't try to rip you off by constantly asking for unnecessary visits, and, most importantly, they genuinely care about your pets. Dr. Lim is patient, knowledgeable, and caring. She listens to our concerns, addresses our problems, and is willing to accommodate our requests. Her dedication has truly set a high standard for this business, and we're grateful for the exceptional care our cat receives.

Dr. Lim is great. She is part of the reason that my cat has made a full recovery from severe Anemia. Dr. Lim was professional and suggested bloodwork which was the correct thing to do.

We highly recommend Dr Wendy Lim, who provides amazing care for our two dogs. She is TRULY a gem of a vet!!! She's super sweet, compassionate and knowledgeable.We had Dr Schaffer for years and he was very good but Dr Wendy goes above and beyond her duty as a vet to make our senior dog more comfortable. Our dog is a little aggressive and because of her age, we can no longer find a groomer who will take her.Dr Wendy is so gentle and soothing and frequently cleans our dog's ears and eyes' infections, trims the hairs around her eyes and does a sanitary shave.The staff at Scotch Plains Animal Hospital is also exceptional. Thank you!

Dr. Lim is a good doctor and she knows what she is doing. She had blood work repeated for my cat yesterday which was very efficient. Since my cat had a rough time recently, she didn't take kindly to the blood work being done. Dr. Lim still was able to get it done, and she got the results back to me really fast. I was also pleased that the actual issues were being dealt with and the prices were reasonable.

Dr. Wendy Lim is an extraordinary veterinarian at Scotch Plains Animal Hospital. We have been taking our Cavachon there since we got her as a puppy four years ago. When Dr.Lim took over the practice I was hoping the care we came to expect would continue. I am more than pleased with Dr. Kim and her wonderful and compassionate staff.

Terrible experience. Disorganized staff lost our appointment twice and Dr. Wendy Lim ran the wrong blood work for our poor dog in spite of our explaining in advance to staff and her as well during the appointment. In addition to her not being able to draw blood correctly, when we called after receiving the wrong blood work results Dr. Lim never called us back. Zero confidence in Dr. Lim's veterinary abilities, service, and listening skills.

why are people leaving 5 star reviews for a business that doesnt take new customers? I will be happy to remove this review when that changes. When a business says "no" it doesnt give you much to work with. Sorry guys

It is very sad to see Doc Schafer retire. He has been absolutely wonderful since I got my dog in 2014. My dog has had quite a few health issues that are common to her breed and Doc has always been there with simple remedies and good sound advice. Since my dog had to go to him every 8-12 weeks I had a lot of experience with the Doc and his wonderful staff. I cannot say enough good things about them. Dr. Lee is now taking over the practice and I look forward to her continued good care of my fur baby.

We have been going to scotch plains hospital since 1986 and between the staff and dr we never ever had a bad experience with all of our dogs kind gentle and understanding best around ?????

We absolutely adore Dr Schafer and his staff. SADLY - there is a new person at his ptactice- Dr. Wendy Lim. As a direct result of her ignorance we will be seeking out a new vet clinic. After a brief encounter with her I would not want her touch my 4 legged kids for anything. She is rude, arrogant, and a bit frightening with humans. Her manners are non existent and her behaviours threatening. I feel sad for Dr Schafer.
