“Stay didn’t start out so great. At check in Jeta was rude and lied to me about the system they used and about using a different card for incidentals. When I asked two different front desk receptionist they said of course I could. If it weren’t for the experience I had with everyone else this property would’ve gotten a Zero based off of Jeta only. Other than that it was a Great stay!!! Sylvia was great. She has a bright personality and was on point and very knowledgeable. Night audit was great and helpful and Ms. Mary got us checked in early after a 10 hour ride when Jeta wasn’t willing to. I would definitely stay again but will avoid Jeta at all cost.”

“Dear Wallace Hotel Team,

I recently booked a room at The Wallace Hotel for my parents, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional experience they had.

From the moment they arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and provided all the amenities they could have asked for. The location was perfect for exploring New York City, and they appreciated the quiet and comfort of the hotel after a busy day.

One highlight of their stay was the outstanding service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my parents' comfort and satisfaction, making their stay truly memorable.

I would like to give a special thanks to Kira Santiago, the Assistant Director of Rooms, for her genuine care in ensuring my parents had the perfect stay. Kira's attention to detail and warm hospitality made a significant difference. She took the time to understand their needs and went out of her way to accommodate them. Whether it was arranging special amenities in their room or providing personalized recommendations for local attractions, Kira's efforts were truly appreciated.

Additionally, I want to acknowledge doormen Jaysean and Juan for their exceptional assistance and friendliness. Their warm greetings and helpfulness made my parents feel welcome every time they entered or left the hotel. They always had a smile on their faces and were ready to assist with anything my parents needed, from carrying luggage to providing directions.

I highly recommend The Wallace Hotel to anyone visiting the city and suggest stopping by the Wallace Lounge for live music and lovely cocktails. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for my parents.

Sophie Bennett

“Prime location close to Times Square, but also at a hefty price (standard room 870 euros for 2 nights in October via booking.com). Hotel is good, very nice staff, nice rooms but there are still points of criticism. First of all, the positive: Rooms have a coffee maker, tea, microwave, refrigerator, large comfortable bed, large shower. Now to the things that could be improved: The furniture has seen better days. Unfortunately, despite the double glazing, the windows have zero attenuation, so it sounds like they are open. And since the street is also full of restaurants, the noise level remains relatively loud at night. Even if you hear the constant fire and police sirens, which are completely normal for New York, it's still annoying. It's a good thing that we were so exhausted from really strenuous days of sightseeing that we were still able to sleep. Another point of criticism is the indication "International breakfast"... Well, there are boiled eggs, jam, Philadelphia, Nutella, coffee and toast/bagels, juice... That's it. No cheese, no sausage... I don't think that's even an American breakfast. You also put the dishes away yourself... ok, that didn't bother us.
CONCLUSION: Yes, New York is expensive and the hotel price didn't bother us, but the issue of windows and breakfast should be addressed.

“This is my second time staying at the Jewel hotel and I think in my first review I called it a gem. The hotel is centrally located near everything you can imagine. It is in the heartbeat of Rockefeller Plaza. The staff here are personable and genuinely interested in the hospitality industry. Great conversation and assistance from Erick, Jessie, Leslie and Edward. They are genuinely interested in how you are enjoying your trip and how best to accommodate you , like how to get to the airport during a parade! If you travel solo here you won't feel ignored or unsafe. It's like a home away from home. The filtered recycle water bottles are a huge plus. The lounge and free coffees also, and you get to meet your neighbors from around the world. I did miss the newspaper though ! Can't wait for my next NYC adventure and the Jewell will once again be my choice of hotel.”

“I had great time there.
Everybody was very friendly
and treated me like a real family.
Form the moment that I checked in,
Mr. Solomon Anioje at the front desk was so nice,
and Mr. Vladimir Umasnsky at the concierge helped me so well
in many ways including reservations on the dinners.
The room is very spacious compared to other Luxurious
hotels, and the food from the Salon was nice, too.
I also loved the bar with fantastic chandeliers,
the bartenders, too.
I would love to visit there again, definitely
and strongly recommend to stay there to everyone.!!

Rooms: relatively spacious compared to other Luxury hotels
decorated with lovely Baccarat crystals
very modern and classical at the same time

“Very comfortable, nice, quiet hotel, in a great location between Penn Station and Central Park, and 15 minute walk to Birdland Jazz Club. The hotel was clean, cozy, tastefully furnished and decorated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and good, in a nice dining/break area free of blaring TVs.

Nearby activities: Too many to mention in Manhattan. See Google Maps.

Safety: Felt like a safe neighborhood.

Walkability: Short walk to attractions like Birdland Jazz Club and Central Park.”

“"Never meet your heroes", they say. The basis of course is people and things rarely live up to the hype. The Plaza does. Kevin McAllister was right to hold up here over Christmas. The location itself is perfectly situated in both the heart of New York (Central Park) and businesses, big and small, within arm's reach. The building itself could have gone to the way of ancient ruins and lived on the memories of what was and not what is. Instead, the building itself has been immaculately preserved and, in our case, remodeled with a nod to its original glory. What is all this glory without service. There is no slippage there either. We got a sense of the bespoke experience before our trip, dealing with customer service by phone. From that point forward, we have been met with a constant expressions of attention to detail and service. I still don't know what our butler does but should the need ever arise, I know he's a push of a button away. I don't know if I could stay anywhere else in the city ever again.”

“This is a review for the bar. Although I’ve recommended the hotel to out of town friends because it’s so special. They are on point with all details and it’s absolutely stunning. Fun crowd in the main and restaurant bar, great service and fun ambiance. The hotel has bikes out front a cart to Bergdorf’s. I’ve had dinner here before and both experiences were stellar. Love the outside seating area and terrace too. Oh and you can get your hair done,”

“Met a new friend there for a late afternoon snack and was pleasantly surprised. Great service even though it was packed, unexpectedly gorgeous dining room, cutest little teacups and eclectic menu to match ! Ended up munching on guacamole and tea. Planning to try their brunch and high tea in the skylight room! Stylish and relaxing place.

“Rosina at the front desk was simply AMAZING. She went the extra mile to accommodate us with an early check in and exceptional room upgrade after an unexpected change of our travel plans. This property is wonderful in every way, but Rosina is even more wonderful!”

“The location is great with a view of Central Park. Prices are affordable if you book in advance. There is free breakfast and the dining environment is first-class. The only drawback is that there were stains and hair on the beds of the two guest rooms I booked, and they were not cleaned carefully enough.”

“I have stayed at the Carlyle hotel a couple of times now and the service is always outstanding. I love being just steps to Central Park and having a cocktail at Bemelmans Bar in the lobby each night is an absolute must. It is walking distance to great shopping as well as the MoMA. Only caveat would be that it’s not a great location if most of your interests are in SoHo/NoHo, otherwise I highly recommend.

Walkability: Proximity to Central Park is priceless”

“The rooms are amazing and we got an upgrade to a very nice suite and it came with free legos and chocolate. The location is near the best parts of New York and I would recommend going here.Rooms: Very nice and is very spacious.”

“We chose the Hotel Belleclaire as one of our wedding block hotels for our daughters wedding in early October. The hotels location was perfect for our guests to experience NYC. The suites and rooms were just what we wanted for our family and out of town guests. Working with the sales team, hotel management team and hotel front desk staff was an excellent experience. They made sure that our weekend was perfect in every way. I would highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to stay there again on my next visit to NYC.

Walkability: Perfect location on the upper West Side. Close to Central Park and lots of great restaurants in the area.”

“I chose this hotel because it was on the cheaper side. So i.agine mu surprise when I get there to find one of the nucest places I've stayed. It smelled so clean and really was clean. The pool and fitness areas were kept clean and all of the staff were friendly. This place is great and if we ever go back I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Rooms: I got a larger room bc there was 2 adults and 2 teenagers .. it was super roomie and nestled in a quiet corner. It was really clean and the beds were beyond comforta!

Safety: We were able to park and not worry for an entire week. The only ppl that can get into the parking garage are ppl staying and employees. I loved not having to worry about my vehicle.

Walkability: It was right around the corner from a free shuttle to the port authority downtown NYC. Super convenient.

Food & drinks: They have a decent selection of drinks and snacks you can purchase. Along with a bunch of essentials you may forget when packing for a trip.

Noteworthy details: They were super nice and very helpful. Our first night the airconditioning broke..we had to move rooms but they had it up and running first thing the following morning and we're very apologetic. They were more than happy to answer any questions we had about the area, things to do and the best way to do them.”

“Hotel was so easy to work with in advance of arrival - my emails were answered right away with everything I needed/asked for. We had a 1 bedroom suite - just the right size and a kitchen that was exactly what we needed to make our own food when we didn’t go out. Front desk service was really good, really professional, just what we wanted from a serviced building. Housekeeping, only once a week, did a fantastic job as well. Laundry is in the basement, machines are new and they work very well. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again soon.”

“Absolutely fantastic. I stayed for two days for a business trip and meetings at Javits Center. I always stay at the finest hotels when traveling to NYC (which I will not name), but this hotel has a different “VIBE “ for sure. I could comfortably stay there for a month. The location is very central.

Rooms: I had a Junior Suite….nice sitting area with a built in wet bar.

Walkability: Great shopping and close to Central Park and 5th Avenue. I also walked down to Rockefeller Center and had a dinner meeting at a restaurant on 54th St and another lunch meeting on 77th.

Food & drinks: Restaurant and bar is top notch

Noteworthy details: The staff and the concierge are most helpful.”

“Above all, the location of the hotel makes it very interesting - almost everything is within walking distance!
The rooms are a bit small, but very attractive and nice. The beds are really a dream - you sleep very well in them!
Price-performance is still fairly good here if you compare European hotels with the same star rating. Of course no breakfast included!

Rooms: small, but well furnished and comfortable

Nearby activities: really most of it within walking distance

Safety: very safe

Walkability: everything accessible!”

“Great location. Close to many attractions and sights and close to 3 subway stations. Rooms are spacious with enough room to spread out. Only major downside are the 3 TINY elevators. During busy periods it took me up to 15 minutes to get an elevator down and with people packed in they get quite warm.”

“I thought it was a very good place, I stayed here because of the price and the truth is that staying in NY can cost double or more, I preferred to save money on accommodation. It is close to time square and you can buy 10 tickets to save. It costs more or less 3 dollars one way (3.5 if you pay each time). It takes little time to arrive. I recommend renting a room with a half or full bathroom since the bathroom is not always clean. The neighborhood is good and quiet, the staff is attentive. Regarding noise, it is true that if you have a noisy neighbor it can be a bit dull since there is poor insulation. If you are there, go see a sunset at the river. It's very nice and you can walk there.”

The director, Dr. Thaysa, is attentive and available to each guest, so beautiful to see. “Outstanding hotel near Teterboro airport. Everything was pristine and well manicured. Breakfast was great, rooms were awesome, and good white noise on account of all the traffic going into TEB and LGA, etc. Easiest 5 stars ever.”

“We recently spent four nights at M Social. Very nice location with views of Times Square. Upon check-in, the staff was super friendly and engaging and seemed to really care about us and our trip to New York. The room size is average. Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable pillows and mattress. Views from the rooftop bar and restaurant were great, but we were never waited on even after asking for someone to take our order. Wish we could've experienced that. The elevator from street level gets packed and can be a little slow. Once you are off the street level, there are other elevators to room which are very fast. There is a Duane Reade (Walgreens) immediately next door which is very convenient. All in all, we would stay here again.”

“I absolutely love this place! I visit NYC about 4-7 times a year for work, and I always book my stay here. While I'm not a huge fan of being so close to Times Square, it's really not as bad as you'd think. There’s a little light from Times Square, but nothing overwhelming.

What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff—they are always fantastic and welcoming. It’s also in a great location, within walking distance to plenty of food spots.

One of my favorite perks is the free wine and cheese hour around 5 PM, which has definitely become a key reason for my repeat bookings. Who can say no to free wine and cheese?

The rooms are consistently comfortable, with cozy beds, and it's a fun touch to have the TV embedded in the mirror. Definitely recommend staying here!”

“Hotel in New Jersey for a weekend in New York.

Negatives
- you could check in on the Hilton app. We chose a room to be on the same floor as the rest of our family. Finally, once we arrived at the hotel we were told that our room was not available. It seems that checking in on the app is not really effective.
- pool water was cloudy
- bedroom wall and window were dirty
- we did not have enough towels in the room for the number of guests
- must have a car to reach shops or restaurants

Positive points
- lunch included
- bus 167 to go to New York
- parking in free garage
- by car, near restaurants and shopping centers
- new, beautiful hotel
- 20 minutes from Manhattan (without traffic)
- animals are welcome”

“Rooms: The room are nice, the bed is very comfortable

Food and drinks: The food is good. The drinks are good.
The only other thing in the restaurant that the music is too loud and it’s hard to have a conversation with someone. It’s not very pleasant Alexa try to find some other music to play other than Spanish music very loudly and a restaurant area.”

“Best staff we've ever experienced. Sha gave me his personal charger when I was in a bind. The night crew on Oct 5th ran around the hotel to find us amenities, and carried furniture outside to accommodate our late night hang out. Chatting it up with them helped us understand how genuine they are. I'll always stay here.

Rooms: Fix wireless charger, keycards, include utensils in room.”
