Beware of using a credit or debit card to pay for gas. It will be compromised. Many in the rockaway area have reported the same issue.

The free air has been out of commission for at least 6 months. When I try to ask about it none of the attendance speaks English. If they are not going to repair it they should remove it.

Let's see if I can write this review in the time it takes to fill up my gas tank. They say you're not supposed to use a cell phone near a working gas pump, so if this turns out to be true and this review ends abruptly.. I guess you'll know what happened. At least I'll go out with a BANG doing something that I like. Although I can most definitely think of something I Like much better that I could be doing with my last few minutes on Earth if you get my drift - Rockin Out With Some Beer & Pizza? Not Exactly, but You're Close ;) Anyhow, this is a pretty solid gas station with friendly service and early hours so I guess it's worth a three Star rating. I can never understand why a gas station wouldn't open up early for people who need gas first thing in the morning but whatever. Daily business hours here are from 5am to 11pm which is Cool. Okay, my tank is FULL and I didn't even Blow-Up so I suppose that's worth another Star. Yup, so I'll be talking to you all later. Bill Out, Peace!!

Life hack: this is the only gas station in Denville and Rockaway (that I know of) that has free air! Always come here to fill air in my tires. Rarely ever crowded.

I visit the exxon mobil on 46 in Rockaway NJ (197 US-46, Rockaway, NJ 07866) weekly because of their great prices, but I have encountered several issues with the staff. From the station closing early and the attendant refusing to fill up my tank, to the attendant refusing to fill up several people tanks. Today I was their and just completely baffled by the lack of customer service. Almost every pump had a car waiting to be filled, but half of the people left because the attendant was just sitting inside. I got out of my car to see if he was planning on coming out to help anyone, but he just remained inside. That left the rest of the cars to have to fill up their own tanks, which as New Jerseans' we barely even knew how to do. Nevertheless, this task is far from rocket since and took a mere second to figure out so what is the point of even employing those attendants if they are constantly going to refuse to do their jobs? My tank was too low to drive anywhere else, and I did not exactly have the time to wait for the attendant to finish whatever he thought was more important at the time. The lack of customer service skills at this station is outrageous, and they also need to be trained in the products the Exxon Mobil offers. I tried paying with my speed-pass app, and was forced to pay cash. I do not even carry cash, so the attendant was lucky that I found some in my car. It is really unfortunate because the prices are great, but I might have to find another gas station because I have lost $12 in cash and wasted too much time at this station

Pretty good service, free air- machine for tires and a small convenience store. Prices usually competitive, as this Exxon/Mobil price-wars with a Shell directly across the highway and a BP about half mile past it. McDonald's right next door.

This is a painful place to get gas. The credit card readers never work and the guy always says the issue is my card in spite of the fact I just used it to buy groceries. The service is slow and the guys that work here act like they are doing you a favor by pumping the gas into your car. I just go to Shell across the street or BP down the road. Same price. No problems. And by the way, I use my credit card at the other stations without an issue.
