Went in for a $25 express cut as advertised on the website and walked out spending $55 not including tip. I had showed up with my hair already shampooed & conditioned & wet and they only trimmed 1.5 inches. Nothing special, no layers no crazy styling. $40 for the express cut. Then charged $15 for having long hair. My hair was wet and knot-free and nothing about having long hair made the job anymore difficult to perform. Absolutely horrible price transparency and will never go back.

wash and style This was my first time at J C Penny salon. My regular hairdresser was away on vacation. So I took a chance because my hair really need to be done. I'm 82 years old so I asked the receptionist if I could have someone who knew how to style old people's hair. She said I could have Anita but would have to wait because Anita was working on another client. It was worth the wait, Anita washed my hair with a shampoo that didn't have conditioner in it (which is what I requested) She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with my hair style and would definitely request her again. I also went back later and was looking at their hair products for myself and for a gift I needed. One of the women from the salon came over and asked if she could help me. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she was extremely helpful and advised me which products were discounted. I was very pleased with the service I received and my friend loved the products that I purchased for her.

I called and asked if three of my kids could come for hair cuts and was told yes come at 1:00. I walk in and somehow they were now unable to cut my kids hair. One stylist who didn't want to be bothered said she could cut one of my kids hair not all three. My kids left crying. We will never come back or support this salon. Horrible customer service, absolutely horrible. Thanks for making my kids cry.

Me and 5 of my friends were walking into Jc Penny hoping we'd be able to get our hair done. As we were approaching the salon, we over hear stylists bashing trans people. I took offense to that considering two of my friends that I was with are trans. We all turned around and walked out of the store because that it very unprofessional. We did get our hair done that day but we are never going to step foot into Jc Penny salon ever again due to the fact of how rude those stylists were. I'm sorry but if you don't like how people chose to live their lives then maybe you need to keep your comments private or not talk loudly out in the open where potential clients are passing by. We are beyond discussed by this.

I gave one star bcos I didn’t have any other option please don’t waste ur money & time.Took 2:30 hr just for shampoo & blow out.Ended in a ugly look & my hair turned out so dry & unhealthy.The product they use is very worst & makes ur hair terrible dry ??I’m literally crying Had to go to my regular salon to get it fixed. Omg Ur natural hair will end in a disaster .

I got the worst haircut of my life here. Asked for my curtain bangs to be trimmed but instead got really short straight across bangs. They are so ugly I can’t wear them normally and will have to wear a hat until it grows out. Also spent the whole night crying over this. I’ve never been embrassed about my appearance before. I’ve also never had a bad experience like this as I absolutely loved my curtain bangs prior. I wasn’t rude and didn’t complain to the hair stylist (his name was Ricky) but i truly don’t think he even knew what curtain bangs were. I don’t want to trash on the guy who cut my hair but instead to just warn others to be carefulService: Haircut

Will definitely be calling in the morning, I am color blind and wanted my hair done. My sister in law went with me... definitely NOT satisfied. I had a picture which was MAROON and she had a maroon blended with purple...WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE ASKED FOR...WILL BE POSTING PICS OF WHAT WE GOT AND PAID FOR...WITH THE PICS THAT WE WERE EXPECTING...paid $655 for colors we didn't want and didn't realize they weren't what we wanted after 5 whole hours of being there...finally finished and paid because we were furious with what we went through. No timers, no cream before color on our foreheads which left us STAINED....definitely not recommend and will be calling in the morning so they hopefully make it right. Not going for a redo...at all.. next time, LOOK AT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PICTURE...SAYS RIGHT UNDER MINE MAROON, DARK RED, WINE COLOR....NOT PURPLE!!!!!! You tell me!!!!!! DO THESE LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PICTURES THAT THEY SPENT OVER 2 HOURS LOOKING AT AND COULDNT GET RIGHT?!?!?!?! YOU DECIDE
