Mr. Dabal showed up out of nowhere, no qualifications and treats the kids like in a prison camp. He’s the only male teacher and does not inspire confidence about leaving my child in his care. The school made no announcement about his employment, when a month earlier they made a big fuss about Ms. Kim who was gone literally a week later. On top of everything they removed the live camera feed which was a major selling point when I chose this school. Simultaneously the tuition fees went up. I’ve talked to other parents and they had the exact same concerns. This school does not seem to care.

I'm so happy that I made the decision two years ago to send my daughter to Bright Horizons center at Rockaway. She's now turning four and becoming a beautiful, confident, passionate and kind little girl. And I give a lot of the credit to BH. All the teachers and staff in the center are so caring and she enjoys everyday of being in the center. So sad that we need to leave BH family since we're moving. Would highly recommend this center if you're nearby and also looking for a daycare.

Bright Horizons Rockaway has been a great place for childcare for my wife and I. They have very strong communication with parents and provide fantastic updates throughout the day. I would strongly recommend this provider.

My experience with Bright Horizons has been nothing short of exceptional. I have been well supported by everyone I have interacted with - be it the Center Directors or the teaching staff.My son started in the toddler room at BH this year and it has been 6 months of amazing learning and growth for him. Month1 was hard with my little one getting adapted to this new environment and I was constantly anxious, but timely updates and the comfort of being able to watch him while he was being well cared for, went a long way in easing the transition.Fastforward 6 months and everyday I drop off my son, he is so happy and excited to meet his teachers and friends.Bright Horizons at Rockaway has truly stood out for me in terms of Child Care and I highly recommend them.

My son started in the infant room at Bright Horizons Rockaway in 2018. Since day one we have had nothing but positive experiences and support from the staff. He just graduated the K-Prep (pre-K) class and although we are ready for the next chapter, we’re so sad to leave the BH family. The teachers all knew my son and his special interests. He’s always been excited to go to school, and never wanted to miss a day. The Director was easy to contact and was available for any of my questions or concerns, even ones that didn’t necessarily relate to school.The health and safety protocols at the center are always being updated to keep the kids and staff safe. They keep families in mind and are willing to work with your schedule and home situations.The reason I chose to send my son to BH was because of their facility. Although I hadn’t met the teachers yet, I was impressed with the different spaces that the children travel to throughout the day. My son is energetic and I couldn’t imagine him being cooped up in one room all day everyday. BH has individual classrooms for each age group with a bathroom for the children in each room. They have a break out room and a movement matters zone to host exercise on days when the weather prohibits them from getting outside. On days when the weather allows, there are two separate playgrounds for big and little kids. This was my son’s favorite part. They also have an art room, and a stem lab.The My Bright Day app and the Watch Me Grow camera access to classrooms helped me see what my son was up to in his earliest stages in life, when I felt guilty for working. Even as he got older, seeing him on the camera helped me feel at ease that he was having a great time and making memories. The My Bright Day app is constantly updated by the teachers to reflect the skills and activities each day. I was able to see pictures and descriptions of what he learned, what he ate, when he used the bathroom, and how he napped. This was especially helpful when he got to the age when I asked him what he did today and the responses were always “I don’t remember. Can I have a cookie?” I was able to sit down with him at dinner time and reflect on his day in more detail. It also helped me communicate with his teachers.That’s the reason we signed up. The reason that we’ve stayed so long is the amazing connections we’ve made. The center feels like a family where everybody knows everybody. My son has made life long friends with his classmates. They’ve learned about diversity and how to respect differences.Upon graduating, my son is leaving with amazing social emotional awareness, he is adding and subtracting, reading and identifying sight words, and most of all he has a deep love for learning.As a parent, I’ve never felt more comfortable leaving my son with a group of people so loving and caring towards him.

To say I am thrilled with the care my children receive at Bright Horizons in Rockaway is an understatement. They have been attending for over 2 years and we couldn't be happier. From the first moment I entered the building, I felt completely at ease, and like I walked into a warm and welcoming home. I too went to Bright Horizons as a child and have so many fond memories from that time. It now warms my heart that my children get to experience those wonderful memories as well.Even through a pandemic, the gentle, caring nature of this center has never faltered, instead has grown even more. Even through a mask, my children are still greeted with a familiar smile, a calm voice, and a day filled with educational experiences that bring joy. Each staff member at this center puts their heart into what they do, and that positive energy runs through this center. As an educator myself, I am very impressed with the skills my children are working on in their classroom, that are developmentally appropriate, foster positive attitudes, and encourage friendships and important life skills. Not only are my children learning the alphabet and numbers, but more importantly are learning how to be a kind friend, work through problems, share, celebrate cultures, and become their own person through guided activities that encourage growing.As a family, we are beyond happy to be a part of the Bright Horizons group in Rockaway!

We started at Bright Horizons back in 2017 when our other daycare unfortunately had to close and we needed to find a new center for our daughter that took CCA subsidy. When we walked into the facility for the first time, we knew we would be making the right choice in care. The facility is bright and clean and teaching staff is amazing. My daughter started in toddlers and graduated from K-prep completely ready for kindergarten. My son started in infants where he was so well cared for. His teachers were so caring and made every day a nuturing experience. He is now in pre-school and loves going to see his friends every day and loves his teachers. I barely get a goodbye at drop-off. I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Rockaway to any parent looking for high quality early educational child care.

Our daughter has been going here since she was three months old, and is currently two and a half. Naturally, we were nervous about needing to send her to daycare at such a young age, but Bright Horizons has turned out to be the perfect place.The teachers are warm, friendly, caring, and the ratio of kids to teachers is small; they don’t seem stressed or checked out like at other daycares we visited. The enrichment is top-notch, and based on the daily reports, photos, and in-app video feed our daughter is having the time of her life! She’s made a lot of friends and has adored each teacher she’s had.The center itself is organized and is kept very clean, which was a big factor in our decision to go with this daycare. The meals and snacks provided are healthy, balanced, and seem pretty tasty (menu changes weekly). The center is also very safe: entry is passcode-protected and people are always vetted before pickup.The center’s staff is very responsive whenever we have questions. And especially with COVID, Bright Horizons has been very proactive in ensuring the safety of everyone.I’ve recommended Bright Horizons to several friends who are expecting and who have young children. If you are also in the market definitely make Bright Horizons one of the daycares you check out!

We said our farewells to the Bright Horizons team last week. After 4 years, both our boys are now in elementary school. They had a great time at Bright Horizons and made some really good friends along the way. Our youngest was in total 4 years at Bright Horizons and our oldest 3 years. The BH team did an excellent job creating a positive, safe and educational environment. We have had a lot of faith in the team also throughout the Covid pandemic. We kept our youngest home for awhile but that was clearly not good for him. The decision to bring him back was hard not knowing whether he’d completely safe.. In the end it all worked out so well. Not once was there an active case in his group; evidence that the BH Covid plan worked well and that all other parents also were serious about keeping their kids safe. In the end it was the right decision. When we would ask him how his day was, he’d say “Awesome” and never was dropping off a problem. That is what you want as parents… We wish the BH team all the best! Thanks again for all the good care!

Given our current circumstances, due to COVID-19, choosing a daycare to send our almost 6-month-old to was no easy feat. When the time came to for me to go back to work in September, of course as a mother and a teacher myself, I was afraid of the unknown; however, thinking back to November, when I first toured Bright Horizons, I felt a sense of comfort knowing such a high standard was already put in place. The center and its staff are serious about the safety protocols to ensure the building remains a safe environment.I can’t say enough great things about the level of communication, academic and social curriculum that is put in place, even for infants. It is clear that the teachers in the infant room, deeply care about my son and his well being.While my son is in their care, throughout the day I receive updates on his social, academic, and health. This is very reassuring as mom. We also have access to live stream cameras, which in today’s day in age, help give me a piece of certainty.I highly recommend Bright Horizons to anyone in the area looking for a safe, trustworthy center.
