Very pleased with the whole process of replacing doors in the house! Easy to schedule for an in-home appt. Billy, the salesperson, was very nice and easy to work with. Patti helped us with scheduling and was always responsive. Installation was quick and well done!! Highly recommend! It was an effortless process. The doors really transformed the home. Will definitely use them again!!!

Had them replace all interior doors in a home I am working on, I was extremely happy with the finished product and I had Billy come out to measure for new doors in my own home as well as put together a plan for a new master closet & playroom closet. Great family owned company that was pleasant and easy to work with.

Worst experience 16 weeks wait for a small closet! They always had different excuses and different stories when I called to ask about the delay! Unacceptable and definitely bad business. I will NEVER recommend this store.

Really enjoyed working with these guys! Billy is very friendly and knowledgeable about the whole process. Installation was a breeze and I’m extremely happy with the way my new doors fit and look. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to replace their doors! I will be going back soon to have them design out my closets.

Great, friendly people to deal with from start to finish. The doors are custom made to fit your house exactly and really change the entire look of our home. We are extremely happy with the service and have recommended them to our friends & family.

Worst experience ever! Waited 16 weeks for my doors to arrive. Once they finally came, they were installed incorrectly and I am STILL WAITING for them to come back and fix the issue. They hire incompetent installers who don’t care about quality work. Do not even consider purchasing from this poorly run company.

It's been 3 months since we have ordered 3 doors from this store. We have gotten all sorts of excuses and stories as to why we havent recieved them. After multiple delays, excuses and stories we still are unable to get a straight answer or even a response from the manager or owne . STAY AWAY

6 months after my mom gave a deposit and ordered her new doors, she still does not have closet doors in her home. They ordered the wrong style doors and tried to convince my mom to take the style at a discounted price. She refused as the style was ugly and didnt match her interior design... now she is still waiting for the correct doors she ordered on her invoice. Completely unacceptable and bad business, not to mention they rarely answer the phone or respond when she leaves messages. I advised her to report this "business" to the better business bureau.

Review of Perfect Fit Closets and Doors (Wayne, NJ)
Summary: DO NOT BUY. Their product sounds good but they cannot deliver on time (my project took almost a year and it’s still not done!), they make mistakes and you will have a half done project. They don’t respond or compensate for the mistakes THEY make. They have not refunded me for money owed to me for doors they could not complete. Completely unethical business. STAY AWAY! I can only speak to the Wayne, NJ franchise, but surprised that their headquarters would allow this.
My experience with Perfect Fit Closets and Doors in Wayne, NJ started in November of 2018. I had seen an ad and reached out to them for replacement interior doors for my home in NJ. They offered a compelling solution which required little construction, quick install, and custom sized doors. This caught my eyes as I had purchased a 1960s home and preferred not do rip out all the doors/trims/frames.
I placed my order on Nov 25, 2018 for 16 doors in a Beveled Shaker 2-panel, of which 12 doors were standard doors, 2 doors would make up a French closet doors, and 2 separate barn doors. The total order amounted to around $5k.
I was told the order would take 4-8 weeks to get the doors in. After MONTHS of waiting (putting on temporary doors for at least my bathrooms), I finally get a call to come install on Feb 25, 2019…3 months from the original order date. The guys come to install, and realize that one of the foyer closet doors were missed, the upstairs hallway closet French door was mis-measured, one office closet door was brought but not installed, and that the barn doors could not be installed for whatever reason. Billy, the guy I was working with re-assures me that he will correct the issues.
They come back on March 13, 2019…they attempt to install the barn doors. They end up drilling several (unneeded) holes in my wall, shimming out the barn door hardware, not leveling the tracks (causing the doors to open/close on their own and not stay in place) and the doors barely fit the two openings; one of which is a bathroom, and you can see into; completely defeats the purpose of a door. The barn doors were completely measured and installed wrong, not taking into account overhang of any sort. And to top it off, they don’t have the doors for the other doorways that were previously missed and they didn’t install the office closet door that was already there! I tell Billy that I am unhappy with the barn-doors and that I will have someone else take care of them (as they were unable to figure it out).
Billy comes back and measures the entry foyer door and the upstairs hallway closet French door. Fast forward to October 24, 2019 where after months of following up, the remaining doors arrive (7 months later). The entry foyer closet door is just fine, the install the office closet door. But…the upstairs hallway closet door is still sized wrong and does not fit.
Also, overall the attention to detail is not there. The hinge pockets in many cases were cut wrong, the lockset plates were not recessed in (causing the door to not close easily), and their carpentry skills are messy. In addition, in all of this, I had to hound them over phone and text, never got responses or calls, or reassurance in anyway; terrible customer service. Also unless it is a simple door replacement, they have no idea what they are doing. The failed on the barn doors and they failed on the doors that were previously bi-fold and were made solid doors.
I’ve now asked for a refund for the upstairs closet French door, and the two barn doors and associated hardware and as of November 8, 2018, they have yet to provide me a response. I have a pretty good understanding of home renovation and have done several homes but never have I dealt with a vendor so TERRIBLE as this one. I really hate writing negative reviews but this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had. THEY CAN’T DELIVER and THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE stay away from this company if you want a completed project. I had a year go by with family/friends visit my new home to see
