I put an order in for the appy dept. why does the computer ask how you want things sliced if no one pays attention to it. I asked for everything thin. I got everything thick. Tastes horrible. If I wanted a block of cheese. I would have bought it that way. The employee was too busy talking to the other employee. this happens constantly

Still the best selection of any chain in the area.They've instituted a lot of self check out that's why it's not a five star.A lot of people are on vacation and have really big orders so they should have more checkers scheduled on weekends And I believe on a Saturday they should have more than one person at the seafood counter. Many people want to have seafood on the weekends. Other than that the aisles are wide and clear. Staff for the most part are very friendly. Good sales!

Initiated a home delivery order from Shop Rite of Rio Grande, N.j. for close to $300.00.. What a mistake. The order was missing more than a dozen items and we were charged for them. It took forever to reach someone to notify them of the error. No apology, just that they would send them out the next day. I guess we'll see how this clown show handles a mistake.

We've been ordering from Shoprite from home for about 15 years from Marmora ShopRite, Vineland Landis Ave ShopRite and now Rio Grande. We have never been more disappointed than since we moved to Cape May County and had to use the Rio Grande ShopRite. Our order is often damaged or poor quality. Going to start going to our local Acme and shop for ourselve.

After 40 years of supporting and enjoying shopping here, Shop Rite has finally taught me to shop for lunch meat at a different place. Today I placed an order on the screen for 1 pound of corn beef and it took 30-35 minutes to get it. In all of my days I've never seen such a customer service nightmare in the deli. Rest assured ...I will not do that again. Even the workers in the deli area acknowledged this business model is a hot mess!!

Went here on 8/9/2022 with my dad to pick up some ice and rolls for dinner later that night. First and foremost, it is a big shoprite, and has almost everything one may want. it was about 4-5PM when we went, and it really wasn't all that crowded. Lots of elderly customers that may take their time, and very frankly not say excuse me.... Anyways, store was very organized, as we found some great rolls in the front of the store, and we also brought peppers and cherries. store seemed very organized, and we found what we were looking for and then some. we also brought a new beach chair, and a noodle. they had a nice selection of beach chairs too! We went to the self checkout, which made everything move at our own pace at least. hopefully will be back next time we are vacationing at the shore!

This place is absolutely enormous. I have no idea why any grocery store would need to be the size of an airplane hangar, but it is. As a result, they have every food item you could possibly ever want. As someone else mentioned, there are a lot of elderly customers and staff who are not terribly efficient. I was not in a hurry, but I'm an impatient person and it took a lot not to roll my eyes when the cashier took her sweet time. However, that probably says more about me than it does about the store.

I specifically said no black bananas and no green Bananas, just Yellow, if you don't have any of the latter, then I will take NONE.... I asked for Tomatoes and got ones that were damaged and over ripped. They use those who are doing pick up groceries to get rid of their garbage produce. Stay away from getting any can goods, you'll get dented and damaged cans and trash produce You buy 265.00 worth of groceries and you feel taken, last time Milk and bread were almost out of date and soda was out of date. If your an older American expect to be taken by shop rite...

We had to stop in here on our way to Cape May to stock up for the week. They had just about everything we were looking for, prices seemed ok and everything looked pretty fresh. And the lines weren't too bad. The store and the carts could've been cleaner but it wasn't awful. I was surprised they didn't have a liquor store attached but there is one right across the street. The parking lot was real busy and I almost saw a an accident, better be aware to not get run over. It's easy to get too right off the GSP; I wish we knew that before we went to Cape May and then had to circle back around. We'll stop here on the way down next time for sure.
