Underwhelmed by the service at this Talbots, bordering on insulted. My mother shops at this chain and I have taken her to Santa Rosa, Riverside etc and always receive good service. I walked around today carrying armloads of clothes and was never approached to be asked if I wanted a room. There was no greeting upon entry. No one seemed to want to assist.What I come to realize is that they are understaffed (of course) but the manager is more concerned with complaining about it to others than just smiling and helping her clients. I know this because I heard twice her loud complaints, once with the F word attached. Not what is expected when paying $180 for a pair of pants and an incredibly high rent district of Ridgewood.

I don’t normally write reviews for clothing stores, but I have to commend Uma on her terrific service. I had a bunch of returns and she was efficient and thorough. Her attitude was warme and friendly. Just spectacular. She is a credit to this store!!

I visited Talbots in my neighborhood for the first time today. I was looking for a blouse. When I looked to see what the store hours were, there was a sign on the door that stated: "We respect, honor and value diversity..."Ok. That's interesting? So I proceeded inside the store. There was only 1 other customer in the store and 2 sales associates; a blond woman and a woman with dark hair, mid length bob and glasses. The only other customer in the store stopped to speak to me because she was looking for a shirt that I was wearing.I continued to wander through the store for another 15 minutes and both sales associates looked me in my face and never said, Hello or good morning or can i help you find something. It was clear that I was unwelcome in this establishment. As I headed toward the door 3 additional customers entered the store. Each customer was greeted with a boisterous, enthusiastic.. "GOOD MORNING!!! HELLO!! CAN WE HELP YOU FIND SOMETHING TODAY?!!!"The employees need to revisit and try to put into application what it really means to respect, honor and value diversity..."I have been a Talbots customer since the 90's. I am highly disappointed with this behavior.

Talbot is the only place to shop if you were a Lord and Taylor's customer. Or B.Altmann's in Manhattan. Casual, classic style in excellent quality fabrics and fibers. You can wear thir clothes for years and years!
