Very good variety of brands, carry organic meats & produce & dairy but not a great variety.
Fruit is generally as good as in other supermarkets, perhaps not as good as Kings or Whole Foods nearby.
They've recently added self checkout lines which is great.

I was charged twice for a bakery item. I only noticed because I decided to check the receipt, which I usually don't do since I trust this place. Make sure to double-check your receipt for any OVERCHARGES.
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK THE CHARGES ON YOUR RECEIPT.

This place is clean and has everything you are looking for. There seafood is really good and there, seafood manager Ziggy is really helpful and polite. I went in there this week to buy my seafood an I was looking for the manager Ziggy he wasn't there. They need to have him come back. He is hard working and knows his department. He is very helpful and is a great guy. I guess I need to go somewhere else to buy my seafood. I only like dealing with him.

Stop and Shop in Ridgewood continues to get worse and worse. Some types of items are spread out across multiple aisles with no obvious signage to help you find those items. Stocking of items is wildly inconsistent. They carry major brands, but the specific items carried seem to change every few days. They also have too few cashiers to handle the number of shoppers. I was just in the store and several people chose to drop their goods and leave rather than wait to pay. The self checkout is a complete disaster - poorly organized and requiring store personnel to "assist", which defeats the very purpose of self checkout. I don't know if I will ever return to the store even though nothing else is as conveniently located. I have lived here for 30 years, and this store keeps getting worse every time they "modernize" or "renovate". Horribly managed, and they don't pay their employees well to boot. Shamefully bad.

Had a $10 coupon somehow didn't come off maybe presented at the beginning before the product was rung up. The courtesy desk will probably next time like they usually do
