I have had consistent foot and heel pain, Sam listened, asked a lot of questions, and gently suggested that my choice of footwear could be contributing to my issues.
I'm not ready to ditch my stylish footwear just yet so we compromised and I purchased orthotics for my sneakers and boots. Sam is the Best.

I went in to look for orthotics and a pair of sneakers post my knee replacement surgery. The msn was rude. Everytime I attempted to ask a question, he was very snarky. Very unwelcoming. I was going to buy 2 pair of New Balance but I immediately changed my mind. I went to Fleet Feet and they showed willingness to assist. I purchased my sneakers from Fleet Feet. I will never go into Active Footwear again.

I have known Sam McKinnon for close to 20 years. We have collaborated over patient's footwear and orthotic needs and he has consistently provided incredible care to all my patients, family and friends. His knowledge in the area of orthopedic foot care is unmatched. He is very caring, compassionate, honest and extremely thorough. Many businesses have lost touch with how much customer service and Sam has not.

Sam is the most knowledgeable and honest expert in fitting the right shoe in the right way for all who got him. He has helped me enormously after I had an ankle fracture and helped me now walk firmly and painlessly. He is the greatest.

Sam is the best!!! I had tingling on the heels of my feet for a few months when I went to see Sam. Not only did he give me the perfect sneakers for my feet, he also taught me what I should be looking for when purchasing shoes. I went back a few days later to purchase inserts for dress boots. Sam has saved my feet! I have no more tingling and he is known in my house as the foot whisperer. I ? recommend going to see Sam to fit you in the perfect sneaker for you, or to get great inserts!! Thank you SO much Sam for your knowledge, time and patience. I really learned so much from you!!

Sam, the owner of Active Footwear Centre, is an amazing and attentive shoe retailer. . He is not a salesman but rather a trained orthopedic fitter which makes him very knowledgable in regard to the anatomy of the foot. He listened to my needs, took measurements of my foot, and chose shoes that not only fit my needs but also accommodated my physical condition. How fortunate I am to have found him. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Oh, and I should add that his prices are not exorbitant. I highly, highly recommend this establishment.

Sam is amazing. I power walk 4 miles at a time and started experiencing pain in my oliotibial - which I thought were shin splints but Sam corrected me. While waiting for my new sneakers to be delivered, Sam propped up my orthotics with a cushion, showed me a couple of exercises and the next day I power walked 4 miles with the fasted speed in quite a while - with no pain at all. My husband and I highly recommend Sam - he is the best!

I have known Sam for 25+ years. He has a tremendous knowledge of how the foot works. Sam also has the ability to thoroughly explain what and why he recommends, what he is going to make for you to address your foot problem.
