I love using Amore products. It makes my skin smooth and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing too much product. The store associate are super nice and helpful with finding what I need.

There were signs all over saying buy one get one free, yet when I asked the owner she said that was last week and it does not apply now. She then said that she will give me a second bottle free if I buy the sulwhasoo face wash (which also happens to be the most expensive cleanser in the store at $38). I didn't think anything of it and made the purchase but after I spoke to my mother in law, who is Korean, she said that the owner upsold me and declined the buy one get one free because I am not Korean. Which kinda sucked.

Aritaum Ridgefield needs to train its employees to provide better service. The owner allowed for the exchange of items after I gave the circumstances over the phone but when I got to the store to make the exchange, an employee(Jung Young Hee) refused to make the exchange even after confirming the owner's direction to allow for the exchange through another employee. It seems that she was trying to find any possible reason not to make the exchange. The reasoning she used was that the box had Korean language instead of English!!! It is rare to come across Koreans who try to make things difficult for fellow Koreans. I don't think it helps to keep such an employee to work at the store where customers are Koreans. What an unpleasant experience to be told one thing and another after traveling about an hour to get there!

I had to give it 5 stars based on comparisons with all the other Korean cosmetic stores in the NY/NJ area even though selection is still limited but way better than anywhere else and we're lucky that they expanded their line to include other brands from Amorepacific recently so you can get your hands on something. Of all the Korean brands, I trust Amorepacific the most. Reputable company and good quality products. Hoping they will keep expanding their line. Wish I didn't have to order Hera products especially bb cushion online.
