The people who work in the store lied to us about the delivery date and delivery process told us we would have our furniture in 3 weeks but the communication between them and the company warehouse is very wrong because they said it’s gonna be months and the warehouse told us that the employees regularly lie about delivery dates and processes to make sales

West Elm is a first class store with horrible customer service. I bought a complete home of furniture and have no set date for delivery. I am talking about months trying to nail them down with a date. West Elm did take my money AND they fail to realize my frustration. I have tried to cancel the order and they will not allow me to do that because they do not want to refund my money. The personnel at the Red Bank, NJ store are clueless. Their position is that I have to deal with customer service. Stay away!

Huge thanks to Shawna at this store! Despite not being in sales, she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect couch for my living room. Her honesty and great eye are hard to find, and she even asked for pictures of my living room and drew me a measurement guide for my size options to offer further guidance. I am blown away that this store doesn't work on commission and has someone like Shawna to be so helpful.I took my time deciding, and when I had emailed Shawna she remembered me. When she possibly wasn't going to be in the store, she connected me with Jennifer, who was also super responsive and helpful.I can't wait for my couch! Thank you so much!

I ordered two sofas two swivel chairs… the one sofa looked as if it was sitting in a showroom for quite a bit as the corner arms were dirty… it’s two year later all the pieces look dirty like they have years on them! They are also magnets for dog hair! Terrible, going back to leather!

I called this store last week after making a mistake on an online order. The woman who answered the phone LITERALLY could not get off fast enough but promised someone would call me back. It’s been a week. Heinous customer service.

I absolutely love this store! I love Red Bank, NJ too, but West Elm is a magnificent store with some great designers working there. More specifically, Jenna! Speaking of which she helped us design our living room to where we purchased some beautiful Hudson End Tables for our coffee time. She's wonderful! She even pointed out these beautiful Knick knacks like these pretty, gold painted candle holders, a vase, an interesting door mat, and some great coffee tables. That being said, we're definitely coming back. And what I really liked was her design sense and professionalism. Honestly, she should be a supervisor there because she truly knows her stuff and she's got great customer service skills. What a nice experience. Thank you, Jenna!

I never gave West Elm a second thought - until I started seriously shopping for furniture and discovered a sea of sectional couch sameness regardless of price point. At the very least, West Elm appears to take their niche in modern and mid-century design very seriously. I don't know if I'd do my entire house in canary yellow kitsch but it's nice to see some accent pieces that break through the cobwebs of Ethan Allen's sleepy time miasma. Throughout the store prices seem reasonable and I suspect there's always some sort of "sale" going on. It's the rare retailer who'll give you 30% off in honor of Herbert Hoover's birthday. West Elm is a welcome departure from the ordinary. Five easy stars.

I ventured out today to pick up some items that I had preordered and paid for at West Elm. I was greeted quickly by a sales associate, Andrew, who asked if he could help. He knew of two orders that were ready for pickup and went to retrieve mine. Before he left, I mentioned that I had tried to click on Gift Wrap on the website, but that it hadn't worked.Andrew was aware of this issue and explained that a customer can get gift wrapping if the item is ordered online and sent to the home, but not if the item is picked up in the store. We agreed that this detail should be mentioned on the website.Besides being apologetic and extremely nice and thorough, Andrew went out of his way to provide bags and some tissue and ribbon for my items. I didn't ask for this, nor did he need to offer it. I was so pleased by his kindness and professional behavior. Thank you, Andrew. You made my visit to West Elm so pleasant!I don't get out much as I have difficulty walking long distances, but Andrew didn't know that. He just did what he could to make my experience a good one. And he succeeded. Give that man a raise!

Andrew O and Ray did a wonderful job today - they really took an interest in helping me with my selections - they made the shopping experience so fun and really helped me pick out several pieces that go together! I have gone back there to shop two more times since then and I’ll be back again! Their free in home design help has also been a great experience!
