The quality of the meats and cheeses in this shop is second to none in all of the butcher shops I've been to in NJ. Stu and his crew do a great job-not only at preparing the food, but they are kind and down to earth people. You can also order sandwiches and burgers...all very good, quality, fresh food.
Have never been disappointed coming here: highly recommend this spot!!!

Went in to see the selection of meats available for a holiday meal. The pork was on top of red meat and vice versa, while the poultry was separated it was obvious that there is frequent inproper handling of the meat products. I waited for my turn and some kid said hes new and didnt know what was in the counter. He said I would need to wait for the butcher. Some construction worker went infront of me and asked for "2 pouns meaht" and the kid grabbed ground beef with his bare hands. Very unclean. Not coming back.

Lot of nice cuts of meats!! Loyal/long time local customer base going on here...exceptional sandwich making skills and old school butchering customer service. Fresh super fresh produce and an abundance of flavoring/seasoning/smoking/larding products..well worth a visit and give them a chance you will enjoy what you get...I promise

I moved back to Pennsylvania in December of 2016 and I still come here. My son absolutely LOVES the Marco roast, as do I, but the quality of the meats sold here is unmatched.

I am from Northern Jersey and use to specific Delis. I came into Monmouth Meats and the store owner explain and ensured me he could take me on a journey which he did with mouthwatering Corned beef on rye with Russian on coleslaw which made my day! I notice they have very good meats soups and other great things and great service.
