Well, all I can say is that the shop has very lovely items. There are very unique lamps and if you're in the market for unusual high-end lamps, this is the place to go. However, this business is very expensive. I brought in three lamps to have rewired, and he wanted over $300 for each Lamp, I thought it was positively Ludacris and would never spend that much money to rewire the lamps. It's not as if Thomas Edison invented the first lightbulb that went into these lamps. But what really chapped my ass was that he offered me money to buy one of the lamps which of course I would not sell to him. I just feel he's a bit unethical in his pricing/practices.

THANK YOU !!! for all your help with my old lamps! and for your hospitality! It made me think how lucky I am to find people like you who still know how to fix things and have the parts. It's a dieing art unfortunately! Thank you again! Wanda

I love discovering a place where the service isn't just knowledgable, fast, and well done--but also friendly. I came into Lamplighter to have a socket replaced on a beautiful brass lamp I had gotten at a flea market. The woman who helped me, whose name I am blanking on, was in the middle of making a lampshade. The craftsmanship was insane. Looking around at her other work, I was blown away. You couldn't believe these shades were done by hand, but there they were. She took my lamp and said it would be ready in a week, of course it was faster, and when I went in to get it, she was so kind and helpful and answered a ton of questions about her work. It's a great little shop with old-school, tried and true craftsmanship, and I am so glad to have found them.
