“Joel is a true craftsman and master of his trade.After a bad experience with an online jeweler (poor craftsmanship & diamond setting), I visited JMD to see about having my engagement ring setting remade. Both Joel and Bonnie were sympathetic about my unfortunate experience with the online jeweler and truly cared about me being 100% happy. We decided to remake my engagement ring and wedding band in platinum so that they would last me for years. Joel helped me with the design phase (I was very particular about how I wanted my ring to look & the diamond to be set) and then the rings went into production. Bonnie kept me updated through out the process and let me know when they were ready to be picked up. I am so glad to say MY RINGS ARE STUNNING! “In February I took my vintage 1665 Sea Dweller to Leonardo's for service. I was informed that it would have to go to the Rolex Service Center for evaluation for service. Leo spoke to Rolex and explained that I did not want the face or hands changed. After 6 weeks called, said they would service it, and get a new bracelet, and not change the face, hands or polish the case. It came back this week and is exactly as requested and looks great.
Leonardo's staff is excellent and helpful. I highly recommend them.

“Call before you go. This family owned business has two locations, but only one is open at a time. I went to the South Amboy location on a gamble - it was closed and I was redirected to Red Bank location.
I called the number, and found that the proprietor would not be on site for another hour.
I was able to purchase my items the same day. The gift I purchased needed to be exchanged for a different size, which we were able to arrange a week later.
Great stock, hard to find Irish gifts like this around the city. Plan ahead and you will get what you need. Paul is very kind and accommodating.”

“I can't believe I've never left a review! 10 years ago, my husband and I were getting married with my grandmother's own wedding ring as my ring. She was married in 1936 - so this was pretty vintage. I needed to get the ring sized down significantly. I had gone to a friend of a friend in the diamond district and the work looked okay - and then two weeks later, a diamond fell out! I was devastated.
Jeff at J&S came recommended by a friend and I cannot tell you what his work to fix that ring has meant to me. He explained that likely, when the other jeweler resized the band, the vibrations had loosed the settings of the small diamonds and that's why one fell out. He explained that the older gold had a different composition than what a lot of modern jewelers work with. He got a new diamond and set it and checked ALL the settings. 10 years later, my ring is safe and secure - I have never had a problem since.
It meant the world to have a family heirloom salvaged, and I really appreciated Jeff's attention to detail in helping me understand what happened - he also gave me advice in taking care of this older ring.
I am not someone who ever thought I would NEED a custom jeweler and I am so grateful I had J&S. I send friends there for their deep knowledge and skill.”
