There are other better options

Was a decent gym until they closed off the turf area because they wanted to start charging more for fitness classes. I understand when there are classes currently in session, but to kick me out of the area late at night when there is no one in there is ridiculous.I do all of my workouts on the turf and have done so for over a year. Taking a third of the square footage of the gym away and charging members the same price is not fair. Everyone now has to squeeze and it is super cramped when it’s not even that crowded.

Place is gross and if you decide to cancel after the 1st week because the smell of this place make you nauseous and you blow out your shoulder because a machine that hasn't been fixed in 5 years since slips out under medium weight before paying the rip off membership for 24 months they hit you with a $106 cancelation fee that they won't mention the day you sign up. Save your money and workout at home you won't get a stomach virus every time you want to lift.

Extremely hard to find parking in such a busy location, and I thought that it would be much more of a community feel than what it turned out to be. However the gym is in a scenic location with great views, and has everything you need for a good workout. When I signed up I did a free training session for a gift card (which I was not told would be sent to my email from a different platform, and I found it in my spam folder too late to activate), but was never measured again to track progress, which I thought was part of my “plus” membership. The cancellation fees are also insane - if you sign up make sure you really want to dedicate yourself to this gym! Personally I have found there is much better value to be found at other facilities in the area.

This is my first time using any kind of gym, everyone is super nice, signing up was very easy. I decided to buy the personal training, and my trainer Marilyn is the best, she’s super patient and very clear in showing a beginner like me how to build strength. 10 out of 10 would recommend, and definitely the personal training.

I used to be a member of jersey strong at a different location. I canceled my membership because my home gym closed. Now newly living in red bank I wanted to give this gym a try. I signed up for a free trial. Upon arrival I was told I was not able to use the free trail because I was already a previous member no matter the location. That’s silly but okay I understand policy. They demanded I could not work out there at all, unless I signed up. I had to basically beg for a tour of the gym. Which when I was finally given one it wasn’t even 5 mins and was treated like I was bothering them. If they look the time to talk to me they would come to find out I was very interested in signing up. Speaking with colleagues that work at other jersey strong locations I was told that they 100% could have at least gave me a day pass. I will not join any jersey strong locations.

I am a very early morning person and I must say that Maggie, the custodian does a marvelous job in maintaining cleanliness. Additionally the Front Desk weekday person, Guilliamina?, is very helpful especially in all matters having to do with Jersey Strong apps. Both lady are very friendly and helpful making my Jersey Strong membership pleasurable, easy experience.

Awesome local gym. They have everything you could need in a gym. The view while doing cardio is my favorite part!

Jersey Strong at the Red Bank location is a very homey place to workout and the staff/members are so welcoming. The equipment here is amazing and the gym’s location is ideal. I would definitely recommend this gym.

There’s better gyms at better value in Monmouth County. And they charge you 100 dollars just to cancel. Kind of ridiculous

Beware of contracts for personal training. The gym is usually short staffed with trainers. I signed up for personal training last year. At the time there was one one personal trainer. After I signed up for the training I found that the trainer was really only available for couple of hours on 2 days of the week to schedule sessions. In other words if I have to use the training sessions I have to make myself available only those 2 days for those limited hours. To make things worse the trainer kept cancelling on me. The gym kept him in for several months on staff due to lack of trainers. When he went missing I was presented with 2 more trainers none of them lasted for more than 2 months. With all the cancellations by the trainers and the personnel changes I ran in to a situation where I had accumulated a lot of sessions with no one to train me.There is no easy way to find out how many training sessions you have left, so I kept asking my trainer for the information who kept directing me to the customer service. Customer service simply points you back to the gym and on and on you go in circles. I finally got hold of the manager who is really hard to get to, only to find somehow I was actually in deficit of sessions! It turns out that all the sessions that the trainers cancelled actually got charged to me. The manager made it up to me by giving me some free sessions but also stealthily signing me up for a 12 month contract! I don't remember signing a contract since I subscribed for DSL with Verizon in 2006. Who has long term agreements anymore? That being said it was my fault that I signed the contract.I have been a gym member for a long time but want to prevent anyone else to be trapped like I was so I wrote this review. To summarize:1. This gym is short on trainers good luck in getting options for trainers and time slots2. There is no easy portal/app to see the accounting for your sessions3. To freeze or cancel the training it requires a lot of perseverance to bounce back and forth between the gym, customer service emails, tickets etc.4. There are long term contract!! Please read the contract before you sign it. It is only 2 pages long. They will try to make you sign for it on the credit card machine where you cannot read the contract. Please ask they to print it or email it to you so that you know what you are singing for.
