I brought my Bichon Frise dog to be groomed by Janice who was very nice, kind, & accommodating. My dog was easily comfortable with her. Janice was able to groom her & trim her nails without any issues. I'll definitely bring my dog to Janice again for her next grooming schedule. I definitely recommend Janice to other dog owners.

Do not but crickets here, it's double the price compared to petsmart and you will not actually get listed amount on package, my dragon got 1 meal (3 month old bearded dragon) and the package is done , for a total of 9 crickets when it states 36 crickets , this was my 3rd and last time getting shorted and overpaying

My dog had a grooming appt last week and I could not be happier with his service! We upgraded his service upon arriving to a quality shampoo, nail buff + teeth cleaning. They did a fantastic job!!! He's been so energetic post grooming appt. Staff was super friendly and definitely made my dog feel at ease. Thanks again!!! :D

I was in Petco, Raritan on 5/28 and so disappointed. Took 4 hours and 13 minutes to groom a 12 lb Yorkie. I paid for his teeth to be cleaned and nails clipped as part of a package, neither were done. His hair was uneven with shreds of hair behind one ear and not the other and his whiskers were totally cut off. The groomer never spoke to my dog when taking him in or while she was doing his face near the window where they groom. I wrote to Petco and they said sorry I was dissatisfied. Really? The place is filthy and what was once a place frequented by small children including my own is now just a very run down and very badly maintained store. I wasn't going to write this review but remain very annoyed about this shoddy grooming. They charge a lot for their services.Please have qualified staff provide those services and don't charge for services I did not get. And have groomers that like and enjoy dogs.

Even though I showed up with three dogs and the store was already busy with running a clinic I found the people friendly. With all the barking I'm pretty sure I would have lost it, but they remained calm. Even though I was not there for the clinic they still took the time out to help me with my needs.

Review about Fish Department:
Severly understaffed, to no fault of the individual employees but needs to fixed by upper management or whoever can. Rarely anyone in the fish department and when there was one, the person was struggling to get the fish for so long decided to just not get the fish because they were probably so stressed out already as is and would have just died. The fish they did get looked sickly anyway, which I have noticed over the years of shopping there the fish have gotten sicker and sicker.
I recently got a fish from there and then within the next week all of my other fish have been passing away so suddenly, fish that have been in the same tank for years. Nothing else changed except for the new fish so I believe that one was sick and infected all of the others. Obviously this is just my belief but from now on I will not be purchasing fish from here anymore.
Edit: thank you for the response, again I want to reiterate that this review is not to be towards one individual but really to corporate or whoever is in charge of hiring that more people are needed

We take our little dog Jojo here for grooming and Abby takes wonderful care of him. I don't know what we would do if she leaves. He can be pretty terrible about getting a bath and nails cut so I can only imagine how he is for actual grooming.

Unfortunate one star review for this place. I’ve now bought 4 different hamsters. The first two they sold us sick which absolutely traumatized my kids to see their hamsters suffer. The second pair we bought were living together. The gentleman who gave them to us told us they could since they already were companions in the store. A month later, one of the hamsters brutally killed her companion and just a few days later the surviving hamster was manic. My daughter called this place to find out how to help it as she was absolutely appalled to find her other hamster maimed and dead and wanted to desperately help the one she had left. The place told us they would call us back with help but never did. That hamster then died and my daughter once again found it dead and panicked once again. We called the place right after to complain and the employee told us to bring the now dead hamster and the other one if we still had it, to the store in a PLASTIC BAG for a refund so they can look at the animal. I’m incredibly unsatisfied with this store and their knowledge on the animals. My daughter is traumatized by these deaths and we got them for her in hope for them to be therapeutic. I’m beyond upset.

The manager at Petco, Dave, is the worst. He has no idea what customer service is. I hope he gets fired.
