Tried to buy a car there (ready to purchase that day) and they scoffed at me for asking for an X4 so I went to the other dealer in Manhattan. Just went there yesterday to service my BMW brand new and got shrugged from one customer service rep to another. And then was told they needed me to change my insurance to get a loaner. I have no accidents on my record and great insurance. But they want me to pay more because they are under insured? This place has really gone downhill. All my cars are BMWs and even though this is the closest dealership to me I will be avoiding them from now on.

I purchased my car here and have had many issues to date. I purchased a 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster from here in 2022. 1) Problems with the car itself When I bought the car, I asked time and time again if there were any problems with the car and was told that there were none. Shortly after I bought the car, I heard a strange noise, and the Porsche dealership determined that the problem was with the turbocharger solenoid, and I had to get it replaced, putting my car in dealership for almost amonth. The TMPS sensor is often malfunctioning and I'm just using it because replacing it is too expensive. The car's air conditioning converter is making a very loud noise. 2) Issues with money left over after purchasing the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle all in cash, and then during the process of registering the vehicle, there was money left over from what I paid. The dealership sent a check for the balance to my address, but since I had moved, I didn't receive it until later and the check was already voided. After receiving the check, I called the dealership several times about this and left voicemails, but never received a response. I also called Herbert Allen, who sold me the car, several times and was told he would get back to me, but never did. This was months ago. Then last week, I contacted the dealership again about the check, and Herbert said he would give me a new check if I came in anytime with the paper from the pictures I sent him. I took time off work and school to drive all the way from New York, where I live, to New Jersey, but he said he couldn't give me the check because the person in charge wasn't in today. I was told he would definitely send it out tomorrow, but he didn't send it. I contacted him 2 days later and he said he was too busy, he said he would send it later, but I still haven't heard from him. I've wasted so much time, I've missed work and school because of this, it's really costing me a lot of time and stress. They were very nice and helpful up until I purchased the vehicle, but since then it has been very difficult to communicate with them. I am going to start talking to my attorney regarding this situation, and I'm going to do what I can do. I tried to keep my review as emotionless and factual as possible. I hope my review is helpful to people. + update - I've got a call a week ago and was told that they're going to send out the check, I still haven't gotten it. I can't take it any longer. - it's not anymore about a money, it's not a big amount. but the way they didn't keep their word, I will talk to my attorney and definitely goto the next step. The stress I been getting from this is frustrating and not acceptable. - STAY AWAY!!!!!! It's almost impossible to communicate with them after purchasing a car, and if you're able to talk to them, they wouldn't keep their word whatsoever.

Here we go again! After I took the vechile back to service back in April they did a mutli point inspection on the vechile and again said that everything is good on the car. Recently had an issue with the tire running low on air so I went to BMW of Park Ave they did a multi point inspection on the vechile and found the front wheels to be cracked!!!! How do you miss that!! I have the video evidence from BMW of Ramsey when their technician went over the car and said it was good. Anything could have happened to my while driving that car. I've contacted Lithia Motors and no reply for months. I've contacted BBB and BMW of Ramsey has not followed up with the complaint.

Google "BBB.org BMW Ramsey NJ" Update 3/29/2023: After 4+ grueling months, I've finally received the penalty fees as a separate check today. Raising 1 star to 2 total. They didn't bother responding to the BBB inquiry, which has closed after 3 weeks. Update 3/13/2023: No follow-up calls, emails, or letters from BMW Ramsey nor Lithia. They still owe rest of the refund. Update 3/8/2023: Within 2 days of filing complaints with Better Business Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and posting these experience reviews, BMW Ramsey reached out to me for the first time in 4 months. A PARTIAL refund check arrived today. It's missing the 2x 10% monthly penalties owed. Danielle has promised to follow up with Lithia corp office for the missing amount. --- Original Review 3/6/2023: During my purchase, I agreed to an extended warranty with 100% refund cancellation within 60 days. I cancelled the dealer's third-party extended warranty within a month, which per contract requires the dealer to refund in full within 30 days from notification. I had contacted BMW Ramsey over 10 times for nearly FOUR MONTHS, but still have not received it, with promises of "it's coming". Per NJ law, as noted in page 9 of extended warranty contract "VEH250GX (07/22)", 10% monthly penalty applies to the refund after 45 days. If you get the run-around as well, make sure YOU RECEIVE THE 10% MONTHLY PENALTY that's due to you. I've finally had enough and filed a case with BBB. --- Timeline of Events 11/8/2022 Emailed Marcelo Garcia (BMW Ramsey Finance Manager) to cancel extended warranty. Provided loan payoff proof and VIN. No response. 11/16/2022 Informed Zurich Insurance about cancellation and lien payoff proof. 11/17/2022 Extended warranty confirmed cancelled by Zurich. 11/29/2022 Emailed Marcelo for status. 12/1/2022 Zurich confirmed BMW Ramsey was notified of cancellation. Dealer must refund within 45 days. 12/9/2022 Emailed Marcelo. 12/9/2022 Called, left voicemail for Marcelo. 12/13/2022 Called, left voicemail for Marcelo. 12/13/2022 Spoke with Rosa at Zurich, who got hold of Danielle Lopresti (BMW Ramsey), who says refund should arrive in Jan. 1/11/2023: Spoke with Danielle, who will request corporate office to process refund. 1/26/2023 Requested update from Danielle; no response. 1/30/2023 Requested update from Danielle; she said another week for corp office to send check. 2/3/2023 BMW Financial says they don't see anything in their record. Bree from Customer Service sent a note to dealer. 2/6/2023 Emailed Danielle that BMW Financial has no record of pending refund. Requested escalation to management. 2/21/2023 Danielle says corporate office is cutting check. 2/28/2023 No check received as confirmed by USPS. Left voicemail with Danielle and Gregg Weinglass (Sales GM). Spoke to Pam at Zurich, who left voicemail at BMW Ramsey to refund. 3/6/2023 Email to BMW Ramsey corp office "Lithia". Filed case with BBB & CFPB. Posted this experience review. 3/8/2023 BMW Ramsey reaches out to me to discuss. I am in no way blaming Danielle personally; she was actually the only responsive person from their finance team. But as is, BMW Ramsey / Lithia corp office is still delinquent 4 months.

The service staff is rude and condescending with the exception of 1 or 2 members. The cashier Leanne is extremely rude and does not even give a simple thank you or you're welcome. I have been here a couple of times and never received any different from her. I'm disgusted with the customer service.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER" I purchased a new 2022 special-order BMW X7 M50. I paid over $110K for this car plus thousands of dollars on warranty. 3 days ago I took the car in for an oil change, and they found an electrical problem, which the service repair guy stated was caused by a liquid spill. They didn't want to tell me how can it possibly happen. They where just blaming it on us. I explain to the manager of the service dept that the car is under full warranty, and I also purchased an extended warranty for this exact reason and he didn't care. He stated the repairs are $2100. Today I received a text from the dealership saying that the car was ready to be picked up I asked them if the electrical problem was fix they said no. I told them to send me an email saying that they can't fix the electrical problem unless I pay for the repair but they said that they are not going to do that. People stay away from this place Worst service ever they only care about money.

I tried working with a couple people in sales and I found their product knowledge to be lacking. I actually had to clue in a rep about a few things ("what is Sensafin?" recently asked one rep). The majority were lazy and told me to build my vehicle at home. No one seemed interested in helping me. I also overheard a few deals going south while I waited for a sales rep during one of my visits to the showroom. I know some peoples have had positive experience here. However, for me: an unsavory experience all around. Glad I was able to find another dealership for my purchase.

TLDR: Got a fair price on the car, and I would be willing to buy from them again. Good place to buy a car from, but add $1023 to advertised price to price-shop vs Carmax and Carvana. Car bought was in good condition. *5-star rating reserved only for dealers who add only tax and $175 doc fee to advertised price. They also should have changed the oil prior to sale, since it was slightly past due.* First thing people want to know: there is no bait-and-switch or time-wasting. You ask about a car, you'll get to see it and drive it. I purchased a used Acura RDX from them recently, and overall, I would say it was a good experience. The car was cleaned well prior to the test-drive, and they kept the appointment time. They were also accommodating for my arrival time change. The salesman was knowledgeable and attentive. The OTD price was very good. Having said that, the fee for nitro fill ($399, should be $0) and doc ($799, should be $175) is essentially mandatory, and that adds $1023 to the sticker price. For those who don't know, nitro fill is not a value-add (normal free air at Quickchek is 78% nitrogen, as is the air you're breathing right now). The doc fee should really be $175 (reference NY regulations on this fee). In their defense, almost all dealers charge these kind of fees in order to get to the bottom of price sorting searches, so competition pretty much dictates that they need to use these practices, too. I can understand the need to cover overhead, staff, rent, etc at a premium high-income location, but I would prefer that dealers operate like Carvana/Carmax and just build it all into the price, as opposed to tacking this on at the end in order to appear at the low-end of price-sorting on cars.com. ~1 month ownership check: No mechanical or other functional issues have come up. Car running great and as-advertised. I did need to change the oil, as the oil was last changed 1 year ago, and they should have done that prior to sale.

No the VIP experience you'd expect. Form my perspective, they were just interested in the transaction but not the clients or in offering an experience.

So have multiple dealers closer to me than ramsey for service. I read numerous reviews of the other dealers and decided to make the trip back to ramsey since thats where I bought my new car a year ago. Service was top notch. I dont think I had any need not met and exceeded. Ben was very helpful, knowledgeable, quick, and responsive. Im very happy I made the trip and they have continued to win my business.
