I was not happy with RWJ physical therapy. They did not help my pain in ANY way! Wasted much time and money. Additionally, the therapist was very arrogant, saying I never should have gotten surgery. I was criticized for the pain I was having, and was discouraged from getting any future tests or seeing any other specialist. You are a PT, not a doctor. Learn to stay in your lane.

This was my very first experience with physical therapy and I was apprehensive going into it. I shouldn’t have worried. Steve Lyon was the therapist I worked with and I will have a hard time ever being treated by anyone else. He came up with a program for arthritis in my hip that helped immensely and was never anything less than professional, cooperative and sensitive to my problems. The gym atmosphere was quiet and pleasant and all the staff was attentive and quick to offer help. The front office was also friendly and courteous and eager to help. I was lucky to find such a great place when I needed it.

I had recommendations and referral from Princeton Manor Adult Community and had Mr Craig Schendlinger as my outpatient physiotherapist for recovery from my right side total hip replacement surgery from mid September through end of October, 2021. Thanks to Craig’s first class professional therapy and his team’s assistance my right hip mobility is improving every week. I definitely recommend this facility and Craig for their dedication to patients recovery. Many thanks again.

I could not be happier that Steve Lyon at RWJ PT in Princeton was recommended to me by a friend in my running group. After an extensive flat-foot reconstruction involving many surgeries to repair and build bone, tendon, musculature, and form of my foot, I did not think I would ever return to a high level of activity. Compounding the problem, I badly sprained my good ankle while recovering. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about gait and foot mechanics (more so than the many surgeons I met with) and targeted goals I would need to reach. He identified areas of weakness I didn't even know I had prior to surgery. After 12 PT visits I made enough progress in both ankles that I was cleared to run/walk and have improved even more since then, continuing the home regimen. I spent a lot of time in this facility and was nervous to start therapy during the pandemic. I ALWAYS felt safe at the facility, with a strong Covid protocol and wide open spaces easy to distance in. It was a very calming and healthy atmosphere, with knowledgeable assistants coming around to assist me with the exercises or giving my feedback on my form. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The visits were honestly the highlight of my week, enjoyable, and I always left feeling healthier and stronger. I cannot recommend RWJ Princeton enough!

I just returned to PT with Mike Spirito, I originally did PT with Mike back in 2018 and he was excellent, so when faced with needing PT again it was an easy decision. Mike is extremely talented and can assess your problems very quickly. My issue is my back, and that can sometimes be difficult for someone to make the correct diagnosis. After just one session with Mike, I feel so much better! He is very professional, and I would highly recommend him.

I am writing to appreciate therapy received from Steve and all the professionals at RWJ Sports Physical Therapy. Because of their expertise, my pain level went from 8 to 1. Feel so much better at all activities during this summer. Thank you everyone!

Recently had been receiving p.t. from Stephanie Wakeman. I found her to be a true expert---extraordinarily knowledgeable and holistic in her approach to dealing with my specific issues. Brilliant, intuitive, flexible in her approaches and very comfortable to work with.

I used the RWJ Physical Therapy Alexander Road facility for at least 5 years, for treatment of rotator cuff injuries after having the same shoulder injured repeatedly. I made appointments only with one PT there, Stephanie. This reflects on her successes with improving the functions of the shoulder and relieving pain. I observed a major improvement after only a several visits for an injury. In one case I saw significant improvement after two appointments only, even though the pain did not subside over the previous six months. Stephanie also provided helpful advice regarding how to behave to minimize pain. Thank you, Stephanie!

A positive experience. My issue was resolved in a timely way. Steve, my therapist, was excellent and I would recommend him. The program was very organized and each session was consistent with my expectations. This facility/program/therapist were the best of any prior experiences with physical therapy that I had previously had.

Steve was amazing! Somehow he was able to take my nebulous description of pain and create a program that solved my problem through stretching and strengthening in just 6 weeks. It was great to go to a PT who understood my needs as someone who works out and wanted to get back to my best form.
