Every time I leave the aerial class @ IYCC I feel amazing! The class is both challenging and fun. The environment at IYCC is serene and supportive. I love my time there.

It was my first time attending the Monday evening aerial yoga class and there was some inappropriate touching on the part of the temporary instructor we had for the class. He was also very pushy and at times used brute force to make students do moves that they clearly did not want to do. The regular instructor wasn't able to come, so the man who was at the front desk when I walked in filled in. He said he was 69, wears glasses, was white, and of average height.

The atmosphere at Integral Yoga is very calm and conducive to practicing yoga. People are friendly, the space is pleasant (with natural light!) and the teacher was helpful without being invasive.

Imagine an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Things getting worse due to owner's messiah complex and blaming the customers while paying himself, shortchanging the staff, demanding more volunteers, asking everyone to do more & more for less. I guess many people like con artists who claim they're there for you, but the reality is that you are there to feed their ego, when all you wanted was to chill out, get stronger, work on your health & flexibility. 18 months ago, I could take 10 classes/week, all before noon, $75/month, with classes being 75 minutes of movement & stretching/15 minutes chanting/meditation/shivasina/nidra. Now? Maybe 4 classes/week & the teacher may be someone not on the schedule--you won't know until you show up, if you're lucky, you might get 30-45 minutes of movement, but teachers have been instructed to stretch less/not at all, and to focus on more chanting after yet another annoying sales pitch. I've been timing the classes, and it's at least 30 minutes before we get off of our butts. 3 quick sun salutations, butt time again. So, yes, it's a 90 minute class, with 75 minutes chanting & sleeping. So 40% of the classes, twice the monthly cost, and 1/6th of the movement in a place that doesn't clean it's floors, has garbage until a student mentions the smell, and there's the ongoing sales pitch. But that's the premium package you WANT to pay for. There are good teachers: Sunita, Nila, Kathi, Latha, Skanda, Margaret--they're there with YOU as their focus; they want YOU to be stronger mentally & physically. The others? You're doing that wrong. But it hurts my wrist/hip/shoulders/knees/back. You're doing it wrong. What you're doing won't work. But teacher x said this modification is ok That's wrong. You must do it this way. Alrighty then. Didn't know it was supposed to be masochistic yoga. I'm correcting my previous mention that $150 is better than therapy--when your chill out session leaves you annoyed that you wasted your time and the cost-benefit analysis leaves you feeling worse, not worth it. ----------- I used to love this studio--now, not so much. The good: 1. Everyone who works here has a great big heart 2. Many of the instructors are there for YOU, the student, your practice. 3. Good variety of ages and skill levels 4. Great students who welcome everyone warmly 5. Cheaper than therapy The bad: 1. Management puts their egos above reality 2. The owner considers himself a really cool cat. As we all know, this is cringeworthy. 3. The owner makes announcements that make him sound like a used car salesman, also cringeworthy 4. Dogs barking, begging, & whining to be taken out to wee during class, when you are supposed to be meditating, focusing on your practice 5. Doubling the monthly price from $75 to $150, halving the number of classes offered; management was shocked that this bonehead move caused many of their loyal supporters to leave 6. Some of the instructors have egos that put themselves above you--listen to ME chant loudly, you're doing that position (provided by another instructor) wrong (and I don't care about how painful the "right" way is). 7. Management disregards advice and help even from their staff, who have offered to improve their business plan & marketing--alienating people who seriously care about the success of the studio 8. I can't tell whether being oblivious is a sign of nirvana, or simply rude, selfish, & arrogant 9. The place smells. They don't take out the garbage in the kitchen, the rotting snot rags & peels in the studio trash bins stink, the floors are filthy. Extra bonus points if you're into unwashed canine smell & any number of crawly things. The thing is, it's a good studio with potential. It's a warm, loving environment. Some people are in to the chanting, others are not. Many of the teachers are so completely awesome and help you build strength, confidence, and peace. For

I attended Adnan's aerial yoga class with my daughter last week. I've never done yoga, let alone doing it in the air! Adnan led the class of mixed skilled students in a relaxed atmosphere, never pushing anyone beyond their ability. I loved the class! I wish I lived closer, as I would be there every Saturday morning! Thank you for letting me experience something I have always wanted to do. Picture for proof that if an out of shape 58yo can do it... anyone can!

Good intentions here, but there is a sadness here. Could be all the chanting. Just when you think its over, they hand out sheets that take another 15 minutes for chanting. I stopped going to the previous location because there were a bunch of sad Indian women and it was dark and dank. Need to evaluate the feng shui.

Words can't describe the healing experience that I had during your ecstatic dance. I went because of my seemingly impenetrable fear of dancing and expressing with the body. The experience was very challenging due to my resistance, but I felt held, safe and secure inside the beautiful container you all created. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm in awe of this space and the incredible community that inhabits it.. I can't wait to return!

This place is the essential essence of what it means to be a true yogi. I highly reccommend if you have families and especially children that you come to IYCC and take classes. We have teachers who know how to teach children as well as a range of ages and skill levels!
