Do yourself a favor and do not open an account with PNC.The banking system in the US tends to be very slow and antiquated. PNC goes to the next level. Terrible website, terrible mobile app, hard to connect to Venmo and third party applications. The customer service is also terrible. If you want a more modern solution to your money, I recommend keeping it under your mattress. This will also avoid headaches.

The bank center manger here MATTHEW KARBOWIAK, Is incredibly rude and not at all polite to customers. He treated me and my father very unkindly and was disrespectful to us. I believe he has a problem with African Americans and question everything we do with our money. I repeat he was incredibly disrespectful and shouldn’t be in that position there. If anyone from corporate sees this please reach out so I can share my incredibly deep concerns. He is a terrible reflection on a bank me and my family have use for decades, and no way should he be talking to anyone in the manner we were spoke to. I highly recommend if you’re if African American decent not to do business with PNC Bank 76 Nassau street in Princeton Nj. What a despicable human being!

I have banked at PNC for decades and today's visit, to set up a small account for a not-for-profit I am affiliated with, was a great reminder of why I like PNC (and this branch) so much.

I hate this bank. Their on-line service stinks as well as their phone app. No customer support. If you happen to get to a live rep they hang up on you after waiting for over 11 minutes. Impossible to log into your account. Tried on-line chats as well as phone conversations. No one seems to understand the problem. Did you know they now charge $2.00 if you choose to have your statements mailed? Okay, I've been on the phone now for 24:21 minutes and counting. I finally got someone to understand the problems I'm having with signing in on-line. Back on hold again....Security questions that I have never answered come up each and every time no matter how many times I delete cookies. Now they're telling me my account must be reset. Now, another person picked up the phone and asked me to verify my information again. She was a snot! A definite condescending little snot. This is so frustrating and it happens often.

Maybe the worst customer service in all of Princeton. The woman at the counter was barely comphrensible, and she dedicated maybe 30 seconds of her time to dealing with my issue. Terrible, unprofessional stuff from PNC bank.
DO NOT use this bank.

Let me start by saying that the retail bank is wonderful. The people that work at the Princeton PNC branch are helpful and warm, extremely professional and have gone out of their way to make banking painless. They seem to truly care about their customers. These are the people that have all of my money in four different accounts with them. (Shocking that they are so nice to me? LOL.) The mortgage team (aka Financial Services Group)? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Sloppy service, poor communications, ignoring emails from us and title agency for weeks. Finally got a response from PNC rep saying, "Oops, I thought this property was in the state of NJ. Didn't realize I had to respond to these emails." (Ummm.... maybe READ them?) Then, as we work towards closing, numerous mistakes and delays, delays, delays. Many due to the title company, in fairness. The PNC rep tried, but still wasn't responsive until we started to make a big stink. Less than 24 hours before closing, it's now after 5pm and I still don't have the closing disclosure that the PNC rep promised me this morning and said I'd have it "shortly" and "to review today". (Actually totally illegal, as I should have had these numbers by yesterday at latest to meet federal regulations of 3 days prior.) PNC rep lets me know they have just been sent to closer but refuses to call the closing company - just keeps sending emails. (Hahahaha! It's AFTER 5PM. NOBODY IS GOING TO RESPOND.) I've thrown my hands up in the air. Hubby and I learned our lesson. If you look at PNC mortgage reviews online, it's atrocious. We should have done our homework. Net: PNC is excellent at holding onto all your money. They stink at mortgages.

About 15 years ago, I wanted help from analysts at PNC bank to combine multiple retirement accounts from previous jobs into one. After multiple visits to the shopping center branch to seek help with this, they totally blew me off, with the result that I pulled all the different accounts into a new account at a credit union instead of this bank. They lost all my business. I'm a small customer, but I did have all my retirement savings (nothing to sneeze at in my opinion) and it was not enough to interest them to bother themselves. I am still avoiding this bank although their ATM's and branches are convenient to my home.

Horrible customer service. PNC can afford to staff two people who sit around at the receptionist desk and say hi to customers but can't let any customer use their bathroom, even when you've been doing a transaction in the office for ten minutes. Why did I open a checking account here again? Ridiculous. Avoid.

Lucia and Marie are very friendly and helpful. They have great account options for students. There is free coffee if you get there early enough. However, I opened an account almost three weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my materials.

As a PNC customer for the past 7 years, I have been to more than my fair share of branches. I have to say that this is my hands-down favorite. Well, maybe the Hamilton Street location in Philly is my favorite. Yes. It is. But this one on Nassau has to be the best in NJ. I say this without ever having visited any other branch in NJ. Why, you ask? It is always: spic and span, effortlessly efficient, and free of the clamor and rush of the world outside. When you enter, a sense of calm permeates your senses. Not only because of the shiny posters with smiling multicultural people and sunny, cloud-spotted skies (though they certainly add technicolor to the effect). No one else is there but for the few employees, no one is rushing you, and the woman or man on the other side of the counter seems to really want you to be happy. Yes, I know that that is their job, & it must Really be Their Job based on how sincerely they pull it off... but I like it! Helpful without being simpering or insincere or put off by having to do it. Three cheers for some real customer service at a regional giant bank!
