Gas is extremely overpriced here. Paid $4,78 a gallon, over a dollar per gallon more expensive than anywhere else. The most expensive gas I ever saw in New Jersey. It’s almost higher than California. I never checked for gas prices because they don’t vary a lot from place to place, but won’t make that mistake again.

Wanted to charge me $20 to put on my license plates for me on top of a $90 inspection lmao
Fast service at least, but you can absolutely find cheaper places.

Seriously overpriced garage. Charged $140+ for an oil change in our Mazda. Definitely not going back there for any future work..

Nice guys, qualified mechanics, and quality work. But they charge a lot more for services than some of the other shops near Princeton Jct. I might as well go to the dealer at this point. In their defense, these guys are one of the only few locals that were able to fix my car to pass inspection and certify it.

Always honest, always exactly as they tell you. Reliable, on time, on price quoted. Best service and friendly attitude, great, personable and old fashioned courtesy. Wonderful shop.

During the holidays, I needed to have my 2003 Mazda Protege looked at for repairs in order for it to pass inspection. The service person was clear and honest about what it might cost to repair my car, and he also checked back with me before doing any of the work. The car was finished and passed inspection in a quick time frame, and the mechanic was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Highly recommend for professionalism and thoughtfulness.

Shameful and dishonest shop. I just need to fix a punctured tire. I made sure with the guy on the price of $32+tax twice. He asked me to write my name, phone #, and sign a blank invoice. I was unsuspicious to go along. Instead of the 40 minutes he promised, it took about an hour. No big deal. He then filled out the invoice that I signed earlier to charge me for $37+tax. I didn't argue. I was planning to tip him $5 anyway 'cause I always try to help out needy people. But their dishonesty pissed me off. Never again, not even gasoline. Who know what else they do to cheat. A few bucks can buy their self respect. Gosh.

checked error codes on my car, explained them, and cleared them - all for free! plus, in general, the staff was very nice; small point, but kinda matters in terms of attention to detail - very clean bathroom

Dave took my car in for an oil change and check up for a second summer now. Last summer, they found that my oil gasket (replaced very recently by another shop) completely snapped and all of my oil ran out. They fixed it fast, well, and explained the potential engine issues that could arise from this incident. I was so happy with the service I came back this summer for a check up before a long-distance move. Once again Dave checked everything and explained the work to be done thoroughly. I know nothing about cars and it's nice having a car shop nearby that cares about your vehicle and your safety. I have never once felt ripped off by this shop, the prices are very reasonable and the quality of service is unparalleled. The repairs are done so quickly, too. I wish I didn't have to move so I could keep going to this great place. Thanks Dave and everyone at Fowler's gulf!!

The low reviews look suspicious here...The only gripe I've heard is high gas prices but what do you expect in the middle of town? You're paying for convenience. I've been entirely satisfied with the work these people have put into my family's cars over the years. They've kept my car (safely) on the road for 15 years. They are honest about prices and necessary repairs--I never walk away feeling like I've been swindled. As to labor prices--they employ very decent and hard working people who more than earn their pay. I try not to complain about paying a fair wage to people who do quality work that I could never do myself.

Just paid $4.02 per gallon for gas. Was running on vapors so I ran into this station. Won't make that mistake again. BTW the receipt was just a credit card receipt. No price per gallon etc. 'Our machine doesn't do that!'
