Best level of care for many years as a local resident. I am grateful to have such an asset serving our community.

Dad's been in Atlanticare's care for 8 weeks now, and continues to deteriorate. He is currently being held at the Mainland campus (though he's been in the AC campus during this adventure too), despite clearly needing a higher level of care than Atlanticare seems able to provide. Here are a few reasons for the harsh score, hope it saves someone from coming here.- Unwilling to admit when they need help:Let's make this clear: Atlanticare is a dead-end. They WILL NOT transfer you to a competing hospital, despite a steady downward trajectory since entering their care 8 weeks ago. The last two doctors that have treated him refused to release him to a better-equipped hospital up in Philadelphia.Today, Dr. Griffith even told me the only way he's getting to Philly is if I "drive him to the ER myself". When I took her up on that challenge, she refused to release him. Suddenly it would be “against medical advise” to remove him from the hospital.- Phone calls from the doctors are rare to non-existent:Regardless of which Atlanticare facility you choose, no one's calling you.You MUST be in the room when they make their rounds if you have any hope of getting an update. It's ALWAYS everyone's first day treating him so you can't get an update from the nursing staff, and leaving your number for the doctors is a joke.So are Medical POA's apparently, as I wasn't even notified of his discharge from AC! (Only to be readmitted the next day)- Incomplete medical record availability:IDK how, but in 2024 Atlanticare could not find a record of stent implanted in 2016, in the same town! He even gets an ultrasound of it each year at AMI, but Atlanticare made him wait over a week for an MRI while I dug through old file cabinets in his basement.Even once I defied the odds and found the paperwork from 2016, they were no longer in a rush to do the MRI! I had to push them to even make copies of the paperwork I had found. I think they eventually did it and failed to find anything anyway. And let me guess; You'll post a reply about how sorry you are that I had a bad experience, and maybe I can even score another $5 off coupon for the cafeteria again, but that will hardly make up for the suffering your doctors are causing my dad.

I was traveling out of state and had to come to this ER. I received nothing but compassionate, kind, efficient, and competent care. I’m thankful for the medical professionals who took care of me and helped me get through what was a very physically and emotionally challenging day.

Horrible! Very slow…never come back with updates. Nurses never come back with medicines or food for hours when asked. I wouldn’t even give them one star. Definitely not the same care as years ago…it’s sad!

The worst experience going to the ER. The staff was rude and unprofessional. The place was dirty. A man who had wet his pants used a wheelchair and the waiting room chairs. The nurse put the wheelchair back without cleaning it first. The wait was extremely long and the place was very unorganized. We eventually walked out, no one cared. We went to Shore Memorial and has an amazing good experience

Today 10/16/23 I took my husband to have a procedure in the Cath lab at mainland. The doctor who took care of him was Dr. Kwah & the nurse was Jovito. They took such good care of Tony (hubby) and of me, too. They explained everything in detail and were so professional but very kind and empathetic. I feel very blessed to have had them in our corner. Actually everyone employed there was very nice & kind. Thank you.??

My wife was a patient at the Pomona hospital. A complete horror show. I have been promised that my complaint would be addressed and that someone will get back to us. My wife was discharged on October 5, 2023. If by October 13th, I don't hear from the hospital I will post the most horrifying experience that a patient can go through. It is now October 15th, and I still have not heard anything from the hospital. I have decided to wait until the end of next week to hear something from the hospital.

I was an inpatient from 9/25-10/2. Most of those days I was in the PCU for a myasthenia exacerbation. Well I can not express my gratitude to all the people on that floor. They were so kind and helpful and made a difficult and scary situation a little easier to handle. I wish I can name everyone but to be honest I can’t remember all the names. But from the cleaning people, the food service, the nurses, the aids, the respiratory therapists, the people that come to take your blood, the doctors and everyone else they were all fantastic. I want to thank them all!!! Debra Manino I was in room 354A

I believe AtlantiCare is one of the better hospitals in Southern New Jersey, and their being in the Atlantic City region is a boon to the area. Three different surgeries for my Mom - two at the Mainland Campus and one at the Atlantic City Campus, the latter one being of a complicated category, and they have provided fabulous treatment. Their services and sincerity are unquestionable. Much appreciation and kudos to them. They have done a fabulous job. I can tell you that they treat patients with much compassion and courtesy. A truly good set of people who care.Their emergency rooms are at times so overloaded or backed up, possibly because the Urgent Care phenomenon so popular on the West Coast and South still has not caught on as much as it should have in New Jersey/Southern New Jersey areas, and people still do end up in emergency rooms. One thing is for sure it would help to have a clear guideline as to when all a patient goes to the Emergency Room versus Urgent Care, a common set of people don't know when to go where.

So the pre-op care was great, fast, efficient. The post op care they hadn’t given fluids or food after surgery. The charge nurse and floor nurse on same day surgery lied, stated things that she never said to us and all this because I asked for them to recall PT to evaluate rather than wait until they come back. She called the charge nurse rather than PT who than proceeded to say that this is how they do things and it must be a full moon and I need to leave her hospitable. Complaint given

1 star only because 0 and negative stars are not possible!! The people working there are redicules, had to go get our own pillows, blankets, and ice while they watched us treating our daughter in their waiting room, but never once offered anything, waited only 3 hrs or so, but after seeing people come in hours after us and know the lady doing intake, so of course they go in first, score their pain pills and of they go, meanwhile, patients setting in the dirty waiting room with puck lines and coughing all over each other, staff no having a care in the world... some people were there 8 and 10 hrs waiting... terrible!!
