Had low expectations due to other Rodeway locations I've stayed at in the past...this location is nothing like them. Great staff, great location, beds and linen were notably way way better quality than any other Rodeways. Rooms were clean as can be, staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Great location. Stayed at a lot of Rodeways in NJ over the years, this one is a gem among them.Nearby activities: Boardwalk

Exterior of entire hotel has been painted since last year. Room i stayed in has been painted recently, new colorful sun blocking window treatments, new blankets, pillows and sheets, brand new AC /heater unit. Really comfortable bed and pillows. I looked for, and found no evidence of bugs. The management of this hotel has always been very friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to stay here.

The manager seems like a nice guy but overworked. I wouldnt advise staying here, prices are astronomical considering what you can get at a Residence with much more amenities.Walkability: Convenient location to the beach.

DO NOT GO HERE: This place is infested with BED BUGS and they don't care to do anything about it. They also lied about it and wouldn't give a refund so we had to dispute the charges. The photos show bed bug droppings. You will easily get an infestation just by putting your belongings down in any of these rooms.My friends and I were in room 116, but bed bugs travel through walls, vents, pipes, even electrical sockets to other rooms so don't risk going here AT ALL.(Some people said "there were blood stains on sheets" in their reviews, and little do they know, these are bed bug droppings and from bed bugs being crushed under sheets!! They leave black, brown, and red spots behind. Get out!!)Rooms: Bed bug filled rooms, mildew and bed bug droppings even on the lampshades. Disgusting!Safety: This place is NOT safe to stay in- A stay at this motel will give you and others an infestation of bed bugs!!Noteworthy details: blood stains = bed bugs. bed bugs leave black, brown, and red spots behind on mattresses.

The room stinks. hair dryer don't work. Everything is outdated. Not worth $100 or more to stay. Bathroom got mold.

If you don't mind staying in an old, dilapidated motel with sketchy ppl coming & going at all hours of the night then this is the place for you! I'm not a snob by any stretch, but this place should probably be razed and just start building from the ground up. There was a pool, and granted my stay was off season, but the pool was cracked, filled with muddy green water and broken chairs. I could go on, but suffice it to say I would strongly advise going to another hotel/motel and just take a hard pass on this one.

Hello everyone please do not go to this hotel. First thing is first they offer no breakfast here, the rooms are very dirty, the bathroom door got jammedin the middle of the night, there is no one at the front desk, whenever you need help and the owner was so rude that when I asked him for a discount he got so angry and asked me to get out of his hotel, even came to through something in me I had to call 911 in him!. Talk about bad service and rudness!!Before booking a hotel please review the ratings and go. I would strongly not recommend anyone to go here!!

Absolutely horrible, dirty, stained ..even their non-smoking room had a stench of smoke and who knows what, it was hard to breathe.No reason to tolerate such trash, if this is an example of Choice Hotels ..I will not be visiting any Choice Hotels again.

The price I was charged to stay here you would think the door would at least stay locked when it closed! I know I was not staying at the ritz, but a door staying locked while you sleep would have been nice. Oh wait sleep ha, ha did you mean with the bloody comforter and the mini pillows. How could I be foolish that the cost would include things without blood and regular size pillows.Thank goodness I booked a double it was really pleasant sleeping with my 16 year old son that went over well. The room used to great ventilation with all hole repair and holes in the wall.It is really a shame the price that I was charged to stay in this hotel. Apparently hearing choice hotels name next to it means nothing.If I did not check in about 11:30pm after a long day. I would have definitely not stayed the night. Choice hotels you should reevaluate what you consider a good night stay. And I only gave one star because I had too.

Night manager is snotty and unfriendly and guards the ice machine like its spitting out diamonds. Aside from a decent bathroom in our room the place is a tear down and Choice Hotels should be ashamed of themselves. This hotel needs repairs everywhere you look. Outside stair cases, air conditioning units are loud and clanky and keep waking you up throughout the night. Rooms and entire hotel need to be fully renovated. lobby smells like rotten sheet rock. Fortunately I spent one nigh and got out of there. Not worth $50 per night let alone $170. Again this place is a total tear down and rebuild. Shame on choice Hotels for delivering this piece of garbage product for the price they charge!!

Awful awful awful. The room was absolutely horrible. Smelled stale, and musty. Dirty bathroom, bed sheets were questionable and the carpets were absolutely Fithy. Sofa and couch in the room were stained, old, Dirty, and just plain filthy. The lamp shades were filled with dust and hair, the ice bucket had dirt in it. Never been so disappointed, grossed out and plain uncomfortable in a motel in my entire life. The owners should be ashamed actually charge people to stay here. Never again. You would be more comfortable sleeping in your car. Worst motel. Absolutely horrific.
