When making the reservations, I specifically stated that I'd need the internet for work. We arrived late on Friday in the pouring rain after 6.5 hour trip. And guess what wasn't working! There was no compensation offered, and rejected when requested, for this considerable inconvenience. Manager has no clue what customer satisfaction means.

This was our 5th stay here and we already have a room booked for a small October trip as well. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The location is perfect. 3 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the boardwalk (there is a smaller boardwalk connected to the main one right behind the motel). The owners and staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. Housekeeping is always on top of everything and made sure we never ran out of anything we needed.I have only one small gripe and it has been mentioned in other reviews but the beds are not very comfortable. They aren't so bad that you can't sleep in them but they could use an upgrade desperately. Again I wouldn't stay anywhere else and this would never keep me from coming back!The prices are competitive and I always feel like we got what we paid for and more.

Won’t be back. Needs desperately to be updated. Ants all over room, uncomfortable beds, old sheets, chipped old bathtub, no housekeeping, old vertical shade that doesn’t really work. Messed up my reservation no apologies given a room with a balcony overlooking parking lot instead of what I was told when I reserved months ahead. Too bad as location is fantastic

Returning from a stay in Ocean City NJ and wanted to extend our vacation one more day. Everything booked. Took our chances and landed at the Windswept. Got the last room available -101 next to the office. Nothing fancy but had everything we needed. Staff was so friendly and after you check out you can stay at the beach, use the pool and change in their restroom. Would definitely come back and try for an ocean front room.

I love this motel and we've stayed here a few times before . The last time we were there was 2020. The reason we haven't stayed recently is I got a bad case of covid and was in the hospital for a week and once I recovered and felt fine 6 months later I got breast cancer and it was my fourth round of having cancer in my life so we couldn't really go away because of my immune system . Well last week we went to the Windswept motel and it was fantastic . The ocean was closed because of hurricane Franklin that was nowhere near us was causing the waves to be violent and it was sucking people in with the undertow . So it's a good thing to have a heated pool because the ocean was totally closed. I tried walking on the beach up to my ankles and lifeguard came by in a dune buggy and said you can't even do that it's too dangerous . I read the three people died the week that we were there but they were not from our hotel . The lifeguards on the private beach that they give you passes to from the motel make sure that you don't go in when the two red flags are up so I felt safe because when I was up to my feet and my ankles are in the water he said you can't even do that man it's too dangerous . Not really a problem because they have a beautiful clean pool and I'm very picky cuz I grew up with a built-in pool in my backyard and my father was the chief water pollution engineer for a big company so I only like to swim in clean water . Their pool is immaculate . Pat at the front desk is so friendly she makes you feel so at home and the owner is very nice as well . I'm looking forward to staying there next summer again and we may even go more than once since they have weekend packages for good prices . The motel it's right on the beach but not too close to the boardwalk so it's not noisy . We just drove over with our beach chairs in the car and in one minute you're on the boardwalk but we only did that once since we're in our 60s and we like going to the hotel's private beach instead

Stayed 4 days, right on the boardwalk and private beach access is amazing. Rooms were clean and were cleaned everyday, may have to ask to make sure they will come but they did always ask first what we needed for the day. Could use a microwave, fridge didnt work that well, so maybe new appliances and yes beds were not very comfortable but for the price and location and unlimited ice and coffee, cant complain too much!

The Windswept has become our faithful Point Pleasant motel for good reason. We’ve been visiting for a few years now and will continue to do so. While we are a family of four with little ones, the room only felt tight when we were dealing with bad weather. The amenities including the pool and free beach access are so convenient. The proximity to the boardwalk is awesome but it’s also quiet so you get the best of both. Our room had a cute little balcony and a great ocean and dune view. It’s a basic beach motel but elevated because of the nice little touches but most importantly the staff is absolutely wonderful. It seems to be family run which makes a big difference in service. They are extremely accommodating. The cleaning staff is also thoughtful and thoroughly maintains the rooms. Their kindness also cannot be matched. While we had terrible weather this past stay, we will be returning in the fall because it’s always a great experience.

Please let me start by saying I’ve never took the time to write a review good or bad about a place. The front desk lady was extremely nice and pleasant. The location of this place is really great for the boardwalk being just south in very close walking distance but far enough to be quiet. It’s a really great location. The negative part is the room decor is extremely outdated and the bed felt like a Fred flinstone bed made of a rock. I truly feel like I did not sleep at all. For the price of the room it’s sad these folks have not put money into making the rooms nicer in this place since the 80’s. If you want a good nights sleep don’t stay here. You’ll hear everything around you. There were also ants in my room, found one on the nightstand and one crawling on me in the bed. The ants part is whatever no biggie, but the fact this place doesn’t have nice bedding is beyond trash. There was no fitted sheet on our bed just two top sheets. Just look around for other accommodations.Rooms: Worst part about this place

We stayed at the Windswept 6/24-6/27! Room 108. Very disappointed with our room. Rug was damp, dresser was musty smelling so couldn't put my clothes in it. Plastic shade on door was useless as it wasn't wide enough to cover opening. Verticals on window half broken. Is it really a queen size bed?? More full size I think. We didn't use housekeeping services, made our own bed up & just asked for fresh towels, and after paying $819.58 for our stay, we asked on the last day if we could leave our car in our spot until 11 as we were meeting grandchildren at the Food Shack, we were told absolutely NOT!!! Before our stay I recommended your motel to friends, I have since told them of our experience. You need to update and put a little TLC into your place.

My wife and I have been coming here for the past three summers and each experience has been terrific. The rooms are spacious (plenty of room for our family of four), spit shine clean, and the customer service is leaps and bounds better than what we've experienced at other hotels in the area. The location is also great. You are walking distance to the beach and boardwalk and you get free beach passes with your stay to a hotel only area of the beach which is an added bonus. The customer service during our most recent visit in particular really went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time and we certainly did. Looking forward to booking again here next year and for years to come! :)

Stayed the night for Memorial Day weekend with my boyfriend. When we arrived at our room I noticed multiple ANTS by the refrigerator which freaked us out right away. The inside of the refrigerator also smelled bad. I then proceeded to check the bed sheets and found multiple long hairs in the sheets. The hotel service was very friendly and apologetic and quickly changed the entire bedsheets out with new ones. However, the experience left us unsettled and barely slept the entire night. The walls were so thin you could hear every noise from outside throughout the night

We have enjoyed it for many years. This was the first poor experience. Miss quoted rm price - was set up for 2 (paid for 3) * on way home we were called and told we took the key with us after check out ...we didn't. Stopped called back and waited on the side of the road (as there was no answer) to explain we didn't have a key aguan. Started driving back and Called Again and were told oh we found the key....Ugh ?My concern is no follow up no let us make it up to you. But we do love the place just not our last visit.
