I was going to leave a higher review because I was impressed with how the owner took time to suggest a better shoe for my newly walking daughter. She took time to make sure it was the correct size and all. She went into the back to get the shoe and came out and said they would be at the front when we were ready. We were still shopping for more items, when she walked over to the girl standing at the front i guess as “security” and scolded her saying what a horrible job she did stocking the stock room in front of everyone including customers and everyone else on the boardwalk.
That is bad business. If you treat your employees with respect, they will take care of you. Please take this and use it to improve your managerial techniques as we love the items in your shop. I understand there is a lot of pressure building as the season is almost here, so this is why you should treat the employees you have with respect.

Very rude. Had to ask twice to see a item, and got a issue.

Such a bad place, i was stared at with hatred & dirty looks, did not feel welcolmed at all. The workers started making mokey noises & harassing my african american friend calling with the n word multiple times, & with the hard R, im prettt sure one of the workers were named Julia if im not mistaken. You see multiple bad reviews for a reason.

this girl named Julia was very rude and disrespectful. I was looking in the mirror and taking photos of clothes to show one of my family members. When this girl came up to me and said if you’re just gonna take photos then just leave I was trying to take photos for my cousin who has cancer. I think it’s very rude and disgusting that she would do that when she doesn’t even know the circumstances I just think I should bring it to the stores attention because mine these employees need a life check.

NEVER AGAIN. Purchased Reef Sandals ($60)!!!. Staff member helped me when I requested a size 11 in men's. She gave me women's. Receipt does not say no exchanges, just no refunds. Went back next day just to swap them out for a men's size, never worn, but the women behind the counter said she could not exchange them do to covid sanitizing, then she said I should have tried them on? Huh? . If I could give them a zero I would. Ridiculous. Poor excuse for a business. Do not shop at Deep Blue Boutique!.

I went into this store today with my 2 year old daughter and was told to mask her or I had to leave. The woman told me my daughter was not 2 and then told me she had to wear a mask. I have never in over a year been told to put a mask on my 2 year old daughter who isn’t old enough to even keep one one. What a shame. I’ll never step foot in that store again. I live in brick and have been going to that store for years and years. The woman could’ve been nicer or approached the situation better but she didn’t. Shame on you. ??Jen ( pist off mom)

Rude staff/manager, over priced, go to brave new world or some other local surf shops for half the price. Avoid.

Rude and horrible customer service, read it before you going to buy anything from this store , they won’t let you try anything on , size on their flip flops or shoes not an actual size . Too small than actual size is written , I hope owner of this store will read it if he cares about his costumers .

Rude to everyone that came in masking with kindness. I know we are on quarantine times but don't chase my daughter telling her not to touch everything

Absolutely the worst store The store is completely overpriced and you can buy the same items at the Brave New World store for a fraction of the price and not be treated like garbage the service was awful rude and loud I've never had that happen before I will never go back there again!

Giving this store 5 stars strictly on the online experience I had with them. I was in search of a sweater that was sold out everywhere and I happened to stumble upon this shop through Instagram. Through DM they were able to find the sweater, answer my questions and then place my order with a quick phone call. I don't think this store normally does online/phone orders as they have no online store, but I was truly grateful they were able to accommodate me as I was really wanting this item and live out of state.

I live in Pt. Pleasant Beach and have been in and out of Deep Blue several times. I know a handful of young high school students that have worked at the store over the years... and I feel awful for them. A lot of students work on the boardwalk to gain work experience, and I've heard horror stories of them being overworked without breaks on their 8+ hour shifts. My youngest sister worked there and was constantly harassed by the manager who is truly a very sad, nasty woman. I have personally been screamed at (Yes, screamed at!) for walking into the store minutes too early to pick my sister up from her shift. My sister's last day of working there, the manager yelled at this poor, 14 year old girl that she would "bad-mouth" her to the entire boardwalk so nobody else would hire her the following year.

I do not leave reviews often but felt I needed to share my experience. First off, the older women who work there, or own the business are very unpleasant and seem to be unappreciative of their customers. Also, they seem to be quite rude to the young employees. I have a 16 year old daughter and I would never have her work for anyone like them. I am always leary of negative reviews because I am very open minded and judge things on my own personal experiences, but I think the other negative reviews for this place are pretty spot on. I will not be going back to shop there.

Last night with a spur of the moment decision, me and friends ended up going to camp at Jenkinson's Beach in Point Pleasant. That being said, i was extremely unprepared. I didn't throw a beach bag together, let alone even have a swim suit for the next morning when the beach opened! As soon as this cute boutique on the boardwalk opened, I hurried in. They opened fairly early, a little before 10. Right away, Barbara welcomed me and I explained to her my situation and concerns. Being a shop directly on the beach, I was hesitant about prices and also the quality of what I was about to purchase. Not only did she help me find a suit for the day, but honestly probably my favorite suit I've worn this summer so far. Definitely be weary that most suits are at least 30 and tops and bottoms are sold separately (which is a plus in my opinion), and of shopping be considerate that boutiques are always a little on the pricey side. Aside from all the help the employees offered, i was so happy with the customer service and what the boutique had in stock that i made my friends come in and take a look around! They were even generous enough to let me sit and charge my phone for a bit. There was no way I was letting this go without at least writing a review. Beautiful store with excellent customer service! Will be returning whenever I come to this beach without a doubt
