“I had to break up with Almond Joy's. I tried Jagielky's take on them and fell in love ❤️. I have had a lot of great chocolate from all over the world, but this shop is my favorite in the USA. It's just great chocolate. And the staff are the best. I showed up 10 minutes before closing and they were counting out the till, and they happily welcomed me in, asked me what i liked, didnt rush me, and recommended some great options. I will 100% go back for more!”

“Without a doubt the best fudge money can buy. I tried the others and there is no comparison. Very pleasant helpful staff. I stopped at a competitors store and had to get the staff member off his phone.....and the fudge was not nearly as good.”

“Went here with my parents on Tuesday June 11th 2024 as part of our long beach vacation. We stopped by historic smithville to browse the shops, and possibly purchase something. After being in the other candy stores and chocolate shops that are in the grounds, i was surprised that none of them had the harry Potter candy--- well look no more! There was plenty of Harry Potter candy in here! From chocolate frogs to gringotts coin candy, to chocolate wands, to butterbeer candy, to bertie botts every flavor beans, to the slugs. They also have other chocolates, including fresh ones in a chocolate covered pretzel, and other chocolate covered things. And more candy! I decided to get the jelly slugs, as it was hot out and didn't want the chocolate frog even though i collect the cards that come in it. Paid with cash, and went on my merry way. ate the slugs later in the car as a snack!”
“The chocolate selection here is amazing. Everything is so fresh and Creamy. I highly recommend the peanut butter heaven and English toffee. Best place for a sweet tooth at the beach!

“I visited before the address was corrected on Google maps. We thought it had closed because we didn’t see it on the boardwalk. Thankfully, it occurred to me to call. That’s how we found out they had relocated inside of the Tropicana Casino. Once we found it, we were not disappointed. The associates were very friendly, courteous and helpful.”

“I have been at both Chocolate Shops in Smithville, hands down the chocolate here was much better, it didn't have extreme sugar and the person behind the counter was really lovely!!!!

“Another iconic ocean city saltwater taffy place. Not as large or variety as Shrivers but they have one important distinction. They sell smaller sized pieces of taffy which are what we personally prefer. You can get regular sized as well. Due to COVID protocols, other than taffy, all other pay by weight candies were empty. The price for taffy by the pound was a little more than Shrivers, $10.99 versus $10. We bought an assortment from each place to compare later. Also Fralingers not only sells their own brand of taffy but James brand as well. The store was not as crowded and had some nostalgic candies for sale such as clove gum and candy cigarettes. Knocking one star for lack of other types of candy available but still a great experience overall.”
