They are very horrible they wouldn't take my dog because they couldn't sell him or put him up for adoption they told me one thing and emails and over the phone and when I call a week later it's a different story they were very unwilling to help

Terrible, I felt discriminated against, they didn't have anyone who spoke Spanish, ok, but the more I tried to communicate with the person who was there, she would say one or two words to me, then ignore me and just talk to my husband as if I didn't exist. I picked up the phone and told her to please explain to me what she was saying to my husband, I am the most interested in adopting a cat, and I am the one who has the answers, however, the whole time she only spoke to him, when I gave her the translator she should have explained to me the requirements and the adoption time, but she didn't do that either, she never answered when I spoke to her, she asked us to sit in a room to wait, we waited and waited and she didn't come back, she came back a long time later. She brought a person over a phone to translate, she said a few words through him and then ignored me again and only spoke to my husband, when I tried to ask her what she was saying, she kept talking and talking, and so we couldn’t adopt.

Lovely place to adopt your newest family member. They demonstrate a lot of care and empathy for their animals. They also provide assistance w what you may need for your new best friend. I loved how passionate they were about the safety and care of all animals. The price was also less compared to other places and still comes with vaccines neutering and a microchip. I was able to take my kitten home the same day! They also provide volunteering opportunities for those who wish to make a positive impact in the well being an treatment of animals ♥️ lovely place w great people.

We brought in a stray cat from the area who was looking ill. Patti couldn’t be more helpful, she is wonderful. They take very good care of these animals and if you can adopt and/or donate , I highly recommend this shelter.

We just adopted the sweetest boy from Plainfield Area Humane Society. I don’t have enough nice things to say about this place. Everyone is so friendly and truly cares for the animals. Thank you for introducing us to Reece, he has found his forever home! ❤️

We have adopted two outstanding adult cats from this shelter over the past 20 years. Shelter workers and volunteers are very dedicated to the welfare of all the animals. The shelter does a good job of temperament testing.

Very clean, people were very nice, they have wonderful pets that need homes, I wish I was able to keep the cat that I picked up from there, I fell in love with him, he grew on us fast, someone who shares the house with us was allergic to cats, I really hated to see him go back
